Please post if you are going to the NSA Worlds on JUly 29-30-31, it will be a 3 game pool play with the double Elimanation starting on Saturday, $425.00, entry fee due this week.
WE, The Indiana Classics will be there for the third year in a row,for the 50's AAA and I know the Louisville Metro Stars and the Louisville OG's will be there.
this has been a well ran tourney both years i have been there, nice fields, balls are decent, and the umpires did a good job and one more thing it is always HOT.
so please post if you are going to this tourney, would like o see it have more teams then it did last year, I really think some teams are missing out on a well ran tourney. see you there, Rabbit, coach of the Indiana Classics

Does the tourney in Cullman start Friday or Sat. Because my coach told me the coaches meeting was Sat. morning. If i remember right they had it on Thursday night. Maybe the 50AA's don't start until Sat.

Hi lefty, in the flyer i recieved it says the tourney will start at 10 am on Friday, and I have not been told different at this time, they usually had the meeting on Thursday night, but very few teams attend. It has been this way both time i have been to the NSA Worlds,

Gary 19: Your are right to question this. It does not mean what it use to. Now it seems that they are used to view the other teams from your area to see if you are good enough to go to the BIG dance in Phoenix and Vegas, also if your team places 1,2 or 3 you get to select members of your team to the All World Status. I beleve that if a player collects 6 of these he has a very good chance to be elected to the Hall of Fame.
I may be incorrect on some of this, so others may wish to weigh in. Gary 19, send me your E-Mail address to GDRIDD@AOL.COM Myself and another are looking for a traveling team.

I play for a Miken team and will be unable to use our normal bats. The only ones legal will be the Edge, Velocit-e, Velocit-e II, HHD and both Vipers. Taterman and I have Velocit-e's and we think the othere will be looking for Edges and Velocit-e II's.
You may want to check out the NSA website for a list of allowed bats.

I just talked to Joe Cothern in Alabama and he says he is still taking teams for next weekends NSA Wolrd Series for the 50's, his number is 1-256-492-3020, I can not believe that there is over 350 teams in the 50's and it is hard to get 12 teams that want to play againest some good teams, I guess they only want to go where they are sure they can win, the cost is $425,00 ,for at least 5 games, cheap by today standards for a big tourney, I hope more teams get in, Rabbit

Are they still planning to start on Friday, July 29? If so, they need to spread out the times because it could be very hot. Play some games after dark, or at least late afternoon or early morning. It'd be nice to play 2 games Friday, one Saturday AM in round robin, then start Dbl Elim late Saturday and finish on Sunday. How many teams are confirmed so far in 50+?

Two years ago I played with the Pensacola Hitmen in the NSA Nationals. The TD decided to finish it on Saturday evening so we played what I think was 5 games in 95+ temp. It was BRUTAL! I hope that doesn't happen this year.

Just my opinion, for what it's worth, but I don't think they should schedule night games for Senior tournament unless forced to by weather. In fact, I thought that the various senior organization agreed to that a few years ago. I know I am a significantly better outfielder in the daylight than at night and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone. Of course, maybe all you hitters like that.

Regardless, here's hoping everybody has a great tournament and gets there and back safely. I'm certainly looking forward to my 12 hour drive.
