Care to ID your Handle/Username/Nickname???
Wonder!!! I look at some of you guys usernames & some are pretty easy to ID; others leave a ???? mark.

Care to ID your username & how you got it?

Also: do you give nicknames to guys on your team?

We got one guy that hits great line drives; I nicknamed him LB for Laser Beam. Another guy raises chickens: I nicknamed him C-Man. Another guy name Dan that hits real hard: nicknamed him Danomite!!

Tater: use to be a decent HR hitter; 50 is my jersey number since I started SSB; 7 & 33 was the other numbers I used before SSB.

MadDog: first thing that comes to mind on ODB; Old Dead Butt!! Right or wrong??

BTW: Kick out some nicknames that your teammates have!!!

Was at a tourney in the 80's & came in behind a team & looked @ their lineup.

Pookie, Nooker, Slim, JimmyBoy & the list went on: not a "single" solitary real name; all nicknames.

I played w/a guy named Tuck & never knew his real name. Saw A new name on the Lineup & ask when did we get the new guy...........Duh it was Tuck!!

I was playing in western Pa in the late 70's/early 80's and hit a lot of line drives. The Pittsburgh Pirates had a player named Mike Easler who hit a lot of line drives and was called The Hitman. One weekend I had a supper tourney with nothing but line drives and one of the opposing players called me Hitman and then my team picked up on it and it stuck and has been that ever since. Actually it's Hitman #13.

Vinny LV, I lived in PGH till 75. I played ball at Point Park till 75 and moved to MD. I played one year with Jim's Sport shop( might have been the Hard hats). I have a bunch of friends on HMR 60s.

Back to the topic I love to play golf so I use the name birdie. I have chosen softball over golf the past few years. Thanks Harry

Tater 50, When I was playing in Maryland, I hit a ball to right field at the original Rip's field and the ball smacked the right fielder in the head. Melvin Posey said way to mug him. The next thing that I know the team is calling me mugger. I see guys from that team to this day and they will call me mugger. Thanks Harry

VINNY LV,
Who did you play with back then?????
I played with Joe's Army/Navy, Tootise Roll Inn, Ucardos Beer, Negrich Brothers, Armstrong Auto, Vi's Bar, WaterFront Lounge, Country Tavern, Bundy's Texaco, and lots more. I think sometimes there was more drinking then playing by some of the teams.
Usually played against the Steelers at the Sokol Camp in Lower Burrell. If I remember DelMastro usually pitched for them.

Hitman, yeah I'm talking to you. I know and you know that only drunks and crazy folks play third, well, I've either been one or the other or I'm going to be one or the other. Good to hear you are healing. First post and look forward to more. We are going to Jacksonville for the early start. I don't guess you will be there, maybe too early? I used to put the lucky rub on the ball.

3rdbase,
I reconized the poster even before the special rub on the ball. I have a couple now that I've taught to do it!!!!!!
Recoup is tough, still not allowed riding or driving till after the 1st of year. Go Back to Doc on the 12th and he said then we would look at PT. I know he has already said a minimum of 3 months before any swinging. I'll miss the TOC and Bham but probaly try to start in Montgomery. Legs are not there yet but just thankful that I'm pain free for now and able to walk 1 1/2 miles every day.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
