Senior Tournament in Telluride, Colorado
Have been planning a senior tournament with my friend Ryan Dyer from Phoenix. Ryan runs the Telluride Baseball Camp each year in beautiful Telluride Colorado. He has asked me to help him put on a week-end tournament to compliment his camp. We would like to get 16 teams to compete.

In case you do not know about Telluride, it is one of the most beautiful places in North America. Nestles in a high alpine box canyon with dramatic mountains climbing upward from the valley floor. The ski runs descend down to the playing fields and a trout stream flows by just a few steps from the fences.

If you have interest in playing in this Telluride Senior Softball Tournament, please contact me and I can give you more details about it. Telluride is where Butch and Sundance robbed their first bank. it is the home to the famous Telluride Bluegrass Festival and is a summer paradise.

Hi Ken, Had no expectations for teams from the east. This will be a small mountain escape tournament for teams based in the west, like Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and perhapd Nevada and California. These areas know about Telluride. Thanks for your response and feedback.

Ed,

Send me the info for the Telluride tournament. We have been wanting to come to Colorado to play for some time. We don't want to play down in Vegas during the summer and a mountain escape sounds good. I will get it to the guys and we will see what comes of it.

We are working on the details but it will be July 29-31. Friends manage condominiums and hotels and I can assure there will be great rates. Also have a nice campground next to Town Fields with showers/rest rooms.

I was notified the Desperados 55 majors from Albuquerque will be coming. You may google Telluride Baseball Festival. Seniors can come and may wish to bring family members for the baseball camp.

Guys-we used to go to Telluride every year in the 80's with a team called the Hornswaglers and it was the most beautiful place I have ever played. We rented an A frame and the whole team stayed together-was a lot of fun.Ed, you have it scheduled on the same weekend as Prescott. Are you sure you want to compete with that tourney?
Last I saw the Desperados were a 55AAA team from Albuquerque. If it was April Fool's Day we would be laughing right now. Last I heard Prescott was on our agenda. Let us know how your plans progress, though.

Webbie, Thanks for your post. The tournament is an addition to the Telluride Baseball Festival. Dates for the festival are already set. I will find out if the tournament dates can be changed but my guess is they will have to remain at July 29-31.

Sorry for the mistaken team designation but I knew you would set me straight LOL.

If guys are interested, and we are getting interest from others, please contact me and I will post updates as tournament details progress.
