| June 2 mad dog Men's 65 4191 posts | so far to me to old gray ones have held up great.the yellow MM's are doing pretty good,i have had one since nov 08 and another traded for in 09. haven't tried any of the newer ones yet... b/c i still have 2 ea of the grey and yellow. |
| June 2 canIjack Men's 60 322 posts | The Gray Combat! As a matter of fact, it’s the most durable bat with the Best POP on the market. I have 3 combats, 2 Mikens and 2 well 1 Reebok. I just Cracked my 2nd Melee End Load (2nd Batch)yesterday, I don’t know about the Centenarian yet. We'll have to wait for a status report on the durableness of the bat in the next year or less. But I will be buying the Centenarian, to replaced my Cracked Reebok (2nd one to crack on me, in 3 months, I'm through). Kennard |
| June 2 rightrj1 Men's 55 286 posts | They Gray Combat is the most durable Senior bat on the market..JMO it takes a little longer to break in then the other Combats...but has nice pop. The Centerian will last about as much as the Yellow MM...You may also want to take a try at the new Bass Senior Cripple" it took me about 400 swings to break in, real stiff at 1st, hits real well in the cold..it was in the 50's in Reno and it perform very well with NO breakage & has pop... I know Canjack...the color sucks....lol |
| June 2 shortly51 Men's 60 6 posts | The new Combat Centerian has been a great bat for me, I've been swining mine since Mesquite and it has a lot of pop. We will see how it holds up but so far it's been great. |
| June 2 garyheifner 651 posts | I was hitting at the Woodlawn Hitting Club in Florida a couple of weeks ago and a Guy told me Combat was going to re-issue the original Gray and it would be better than the 1st????? Another guy was hitting an all black proto-type Reebok and he was crushing the ball. Many were Hrs. Strange thing is that it had "2" holes between the grip and bottom of the barrel you could see through. They were a little smaller than most guys little finger nail. It looked like a great place for a bat to break but maybe it adds more flex. He said he had over 500 hits on it and he hit at least 60 + balls that day. He said could come out next year. |

| June 4 mikensoftball 49 posts | Thanks, salio2k. I know they sell them (Anaconda Sports}. But would like some reviews from users. I just did purchase the MM Blue and it cracked with less than 150 hits? I love the Distance and feel of the bat. But I just can't see buying one every couple of months. Is the Yellow MM more durable? The Centenarian has problems to? So now what Combat? Gray? |
| June 4 salio2k Men's 60 547 posts | The Yellow MM was durable for me as was the Gray Original Da Bomb. I haven't heard anything bad about the Centenarian. I had one, but traded it for a Melee. The guy that got the Centenarian loves it. The main thing that I've learned about senior bats is that they are for games, not batting practice. |
