I am planning on playing in a city league in the fall, any recommendations on a quality and affordable ASA approved bat. I have 26oz Rip-It, it has a ASA stamp, but I believe it is on their banned bat list.

is it the black one with a ASA stamp(this is a good bat)one of the guys on my team up here has one and he uses it,if so you should be good to go,unless it is a park ban,ASA hasn't banned them.there is only the yellow with no stamps that i know of that is not good to use.i have a yellow fastpitch version i use sometimes with all the stamps.

for bats look at the freak 700,easton salvo and speed, those 3 should help ya.we had a thread a while back on this, might go find it and see what was said.

We also have ASA approved Reebok "Melee" and "Vector" bats. If I can be of assistance, let me know.

Capt Kirk,

Get the Freak 700 FX 700 ASA, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. Gary and I both bought one from Corky in College Station and really like it...you can swing it in tournaments too, it's that good !The Easton Salvo is good as well.
