I am looking to buy a Reebok bat. I have mostly used "older" Ultra 2. I have used the yellow senior combat. What has been the durability of these bats.I heard the 1st ones didn't last very long. Are the ones being built today lasting longer.
Would like ANY feedback anyone has to offer.

I have had 2 Senior Reebok Melee's. The 1st one lasted 410 swings and the second one lasted 350 swings. The second one lasted all season using it just for games. Everybody has an opinion so here's mine. I broke 4 Miken Ultra II's last year with 100 swings being the most I got out of them. They would only replace 2 of them. 1 of them broke on the 1st swing. Everybody that I know that is swinging the Reebok that had 1 break early in its life, Reebok replaced. I don't know about you, but If I can get 300-400 swings out of a senior bat, then I'm a happy camper. I'm bigger than the average guy, 6' 5" 280 lbs so I know I'm going to break bats. But for me, they sold me on this new Reebok.

Bullet, I have been involved with Reebok since 2010. The Rbk senior bats are performance oriented and are gaining momentum in the public opinion arena. There were some glitches in late 2010, early 2011 that were setbacks. Problems were solved and Rbk senior bats are strong and have performance. In the period of time that our senior bats have been out, the increase of use and popularity speaks for itself.

To answer your question, an investment in a Melee senior bat is worthwhile in my opinion. Certainly there senior players who can break any bat on the planet. I've been amazed at how many strong conditioned senior players are out there playing the game. Let me know if I can help you acquire a Rbk bat. I play ball, I use them and am pleased with the product. Ed

Does the Reebok end load have as big of a sweet spot as the ballanced? What has the most pop?

Thanks:

James

I pretty sure Mighty Mike from Anaconda Sports will be at one of the parks. He's was their last year. He sales all the Senior brands and has them in his trailer. He reads this he'll get on the message board.

Since there was an issue with the bats from late 2010/early 2011, is there a way to determine which are the bats from that period production run?

I remember a post by Curt Hollis stating that approximately 8% of the December 2010 and January 2011 bats had a problem and were breaking early. The serial # were 0L (Dec 10) and 1A (Jan 11); the number identifies the year (0=2010, 1=2011) and the letter the month (A=Jan, B=Feb, etc).

Curt told me that the failures were related to specs not being followed during manufacture.

Sup Paul.......played both 55 and 60 last yr.....The 55's still want me to play with them, so it looks like they'll be my primary team and Ralph is putting me on his roster for weekends that don't conflict. Ralph and Rabbit from the old Indiana Classics are putting together a pretty nice squad of 60's. Now we have the Brickyard Classics 60's. Heard you guys picked up my buddy Rod Huey...helluva hitter......guess we'll face off again this year.....cya in Indy
