Discussion: Reebok Melee-What's The Truth?

Let me start by saying I own a Melee/End Load; and overall it's the best senior bat I have ever used; have over 500 hits on it, no breaking some spidering that's it.

Now the questions: There are all kind of stories out there about these bats concerning quality control, where made, newer manufacturing runs versus older, and the possibility that Rebook redesigning the senior Melee later this year and that Rebook just doesn't really care. Anyone know the REAL TRUTH?

Mike, I agree with you. Reebok makes the best senior composite bat I've used thus far. There has been some blemishes as every manufacturer experiences. If Reebok did not care, they would not have replaced the number of bats that were replaced. I think all manufacturers are constantly trying to better their products and Reebok is no different.

Our Vector USSSA will not be continued next year. Our Melee and our Vector ASA will be continued. There are things in the works that will be exciting for sure.

Thanks for your post. Keep swinging your Reebok!

surf88, I need to get an ASA bat to use in league with the young guys. Is the Vector ASA come in end load like the Melee end load? I want to swing a bat that feels the same for both senior and ASA.
thanks,
Murray

Softballer48-I had over 600 cuts on mine when it broke-durability far exceeds the Miken. I just have a little problem with how it swung for my particular swing. But I do recommend it. It was one of the first ones, but it was plenty hot.

Murray: Our ASA Vectors are mid range between end load and balanced. All the same. Very strong bats. Mine has 1,500 swings on it. Same technology as the Melee but more lamination on the barrel. Call or email me and I'll send you one.

boog: There will be quite a few sharing their opinion regarding the best bat to use and all will be legitimate opinions. I used the Miken Ultra-II for nearly 10 years and loved it. Did me proud. When I started using the Reebok Melee, 2 years ago, I instantly saw a difference. I got more hits, better hits and longer distance with it. This is truthful input.

Good luck and welcome to senior softball. I think you just might enjoy it. I started playing senior ball in 99'.
