Thank you!! Both of the games could have gone either way with you guys. Winning this tourny - espcially the way we won it - is something STAHL Post will not soon forget.

Kudo's for winning the toss and passing on the "hammer"!! Takes a confident team to do that - respect that. You came out like gangbusters - had it working for six of the 1st seven innings.

Our Guru 65 Major Plus team played Stahl Post 60 last year in Manassas. We played them 3 times and were 0-3 against them. They played great defense and hit enough to beat us each game and we were a pretty good team.
I'm surprised it took this long to get moved up to 60 Major! Hope to get a chance to play you guys with my Texas Makules 60 Major team sometime this year!

LOL for all the "supporters" of Stahl Post that want to see us move up to Majors!!

I can remember each and every beating NV Force has given us (we've never won a game against them)and we are still wondering how we managed to overcome the Guru 65's last year.

Give us this year to enjoy some success and look out for us next year in the majors!!

Frank, Enjoy your success and you have not been moved up yet. I figured that I would throw that out there because of all the complaining I hear about you guys from the other triple A teams. I do think that you are rank Major in an other organization. Winning a ten team tourney is a job well done. Congratulations Thanks Harry

I saw that the Stahl team is rated Major in the SPA. Knowing SSUSA, I suspect the team will be re-rated pretty quickly for winning a 10-team tourney as pointed out above.

Hey Birdie - All

Complaining about the ranking of other teams in your division has to be taken with a "grain of salt". Shit - I do it all the time!!

Keep in mind that Stahl's has never won against NV Force - A major team.

Stahl's did beat the 65 Guru Major Plus team in Manassas but lost in the finals to the Syracuse Merchants - A major team.

Move up the Jersey Masters if you have to move somebody up!! :) (I have lots of pals on the Metro's - so that is tongue in cheek).

Stahl's is a very good AAA team. If we were moved to the Major level - We would be below average.

Every tourny Stahl's wins is done the old fashioned way - singles and doubles - good - really good defense. We do not "over-power" anyone - We are not a team of HR mashers.

This rather long rant is mostly for the benefit of SSUSA mgmnt - Who I believe sometime checks in on here.

Come what may - I love this game and I love my team!! Stahl Post Rocks!!

Billy, at this time my 60 Major team is playing in Dalton and that's it. The 65 Major Plus bunch is not going anywhere East of the Mississippi.

oldnslow, I think you overestimate the 60 Major program. I play on a good team in that class and we do not overpower anyone in our age group. We are an OLD 60 team with 3 guys in the 65s and several who are 65. We base hit and play defense but not as good as you guys. Now, the 60 Major Plus is another thing...

Double 10, I played with the Stahl Post 60's last year in Manassas. I was Jack Boykins friend for Alabama. We sure had fun play against the GURU team. Your coach prented me with a GURU jersey. All of the games were super competitive, but it's always more fun when you win.

I have been following Jack on facebook and it appears the GURU team is not all together this year.

Hope I come across you during aour travels this year. I've been booted up to the 65's so be on the lookout for me.

Jose, You are correct - the Guru team has broken up. I'm still playing 65s, but I'm playing with a team of old friends from CA since there are not 65 Major Plus teams around here.
Who are you playing with now? Double L 10.

I'm playing with the Stahl Post 65's. Not sure if we will venture west this year. Will you guys be coming east?
