Which Bat should I use?
I have been helping the wounded warriors project for a few yrs and I think it's about time I played too....I have played for a yr or so here locally but I need to find a bat that can withstand my hitting. I don't know if it's good or bad but I hit really hard...kind of put everything into it. Usually goes over the fence but I am tired of breaking bats....any ideas?
I've tried Mikens, Ambush and some others.

Big Mike,
IMO the only thing you can do nowadays to perserve a bat is to break it in with about 30- 50 BP swings..Then put it ur bag until game time at bats only, no more BP......Just my 2 cents!!

Big Mike, Glad to hear your helping out with the wounded warriors. We just recently added Todd Reed of the wounded warriors to our team, AZ Elite, 50 Majors out of Phoenix, AZ. What a great guy with an unbelievably great attitude. And oh by the way, a great ball player as well (just made all tourney at the winter worlds). I know he swings a Miken but you might want to ask him.

Big Mike you'll have to purchase a USSSA or ASA bat for BP, they'll take longer to break in and are really more durable then any senior bat...

Maybe look at the MM Combat, the blue one and yes don't use your gamer for BP. IMHO

BudLeftField- A number of my team mates use bat warmers. This might keep your game bat from breaking in cool weather.Good luck with the wounded warriors project. Go Army !

Mike: I currently use a Reebok Melee for tournament games and use a Reebok ASA Melee for BP and cold temp hitting. Just returned from Clermont, FLA played Wounded Warriors in double header on Saturday. What a wonderful experience. Was honored to be a part of it and to meet all the FCA players and the Wounded Warrior players. If I can help you with a Reebok, let me know. Traveling for a few more days. Check other threads on how to properly break in a bat and be sure to rotate the bat after every swing particularly during break in.

I have a old Miken Freak from years back and use it for BP it hits darn near like a Ultra. I must have 1,000's of swings on it and still going strong. Will also use it in cold weather games to save the Ultra's.
