Discussion: Mytrle Beach Tourney Oct 25-27-- looking to play on a 55 AAA team, I am a registered Virginia State player

I have played at the 50 plus Major/AAA level in 2012, played in Virginia this year (2013). I have played a little outfield (right field), first base, catcher and have been an emergency pitcher. I can provide references if required; I was fortunate to play on several CG travel teams, (active duty and as a retiree), I understand the "team" concept. I have HR power to all fields and understand the situational hitting concept at the senior level. I can be reached at the following email addresses: bjgymrat10@aol.com or benedictjramos@aol.com. Thank you for your time and the opportunity to play some senior ball. Regards. B.J.

Good Day, did you find the required players? I live in the Tidewater Virginia area, play outfield, can drive the ball with power to all fields. Unfortunately I am not available for Burlington, future tournaments? I have played at the major level, put up very solid numbers, however; team had challenges/folded. Have references, would like to discuss. Regards. BJ

Alan, thank you for the post. I will definitely keep Roger and his family in my prayers, particulary during this Easter season. I only met Roger last year, however; he is without doubt a "Top Shelf" individual. Regards. BJ

Miken was extremely willing and prompt reviewing the "dead" U2 bat I purchased, I received a new U2 bat in less than 3 weeks of mailing the dead bat. The new bat has great pop, (thanks Miken!).

Discussion: 50+ Major Player looking to play in Raleigh, NC

Thank you Alan, I just want to clarify my post that I am looking to play Major Ball and am presently 52 years of age (50+). I guess it may have been perceived that I was looking for a "Major Plus" team vice "Major Team" by players reviewing my post.. nothing against the Major Plus players, (smile - So Florida Renegades and best of luck in Dalton, GA -- have fun and stay healthy!)

Discussion: what's the best senior bat, gave up on the gsc promises.

Good Day,

I have swung with both the Reebok (end load, thanks to TEAM SPORTS (Alan - Tri18)) and also the Miken U2 end load, (both were brand new out of the rapper). Both have great pop, however; the Reebok was a little hotter out of the wrapper. Good luck and best of health to all. BJ

Discussion: 50+ Major Player looking to play in Raleigh, NC

Very interested in playing in Raleigh, NC (August) live in SouthEast Virginia (Hampton Roads Area), I play outfield, can drive the ball with very good power to all fields, and also hit for a respectable average. I am a registered senior softball player, (Senior Softball USA and SPA.) Can provide references, I believe in the "Team" concept, have played in two major tournaments this year, (Loudoun County and Salem {ISSA}). Thank you for your time and consideration.

Discussion: Miken Ultra II balanced and end load.

Gentlemen, very interesting discussion (thanks). We have played this game for a significant amount of time and we know that sometimes you have a bat that is just hotter than like models and then you factor in the durability of said bat, (does not last as long). With that being said I hit the Reebok I just purchased this week, approximately 30 swings with another senior player. The ball immediately exploded off this bat, after approximately 20 swings, I hit one in the 340ft plus range, (field is 320/325). It was hot, humid and I hit an old ASA "Shark" (bp ball). I am looking forward to swinging the bat this weekend in Salem / Roanoke VA. (more to follow) Take care, stay safe to all particularly those traveling to tournments this weekend. V/r

Purchase your Senior Softball Bat @ TEAM SPORTS -- I received my bat of choice in one day for the ISSA tournament this weekend in Roanoke / Salem VA at a very reasonable price. Team Sports service was "Top Shelf" and I will be hitting my new Reebok Melee Legend (end load) tomorrow comparing its "pop" to my Miken Ultra Max Load that is prime for hitting bombs 350 plus, (not bragging, honest statement). Thank you Team Sports for outstanding service, good luck Mr. Alan T in all your endeavors on and off the field. V/r BJ

Good Point J. Beasley, I worked for a MC who did multiple tours over in Vietnam on river patrols. You and I were lucky to have been post Vietnam, however; I keep in mind all the men and women presently representing us over in the Middle East. Crazy part of the world, I was over there on the Morgenthau in 96, my last 378. We need to keep all service personnel in our thoughts -- it is Memorial Day weekend -- never forgot those who gave their this great Country the ultimate sacrifice. Thanks to all that have served!

You guys are killing me (smile), unless you flew Southwest, who knows what you would have paid for packing bp softballs in your luggage? Then again each player could have carried on 3 or 4 s-balls, (LOL).
Take care. BJ

Mr. Beasley, thanks for the website information and congratulations to all the members of the South Florida Renegade Major Plus team, (Loudoun County Atlantic Coasts 50+ Champs). Thank you, (Tri18 and Beasley) for the opportunity to play on your team, (hopefully, I got my foot in the door to play Major Ball for a Northern, Virginia / Maryland / nothern NC team). I had a great time playing very competitive softball with “top shelf” teammates; best of health to all and continued success on and off the ball field. Take care and thanks again. BJ

Sir, please confirm your email address, thank you. My email address is: BJgymrat10@aol.com -- I am willing to try out for a team and work my into the lineup as I have always done. I understand the team concept and consider myself to be "Blest" to still play at a competitive level. Thank you for your time and response.

Just like everyone else, trying to play ball... I was honest (I am not the best and not the worst) and like playing the game and work at improving. I would be happy to try out for a 50 AAA or major team if the opportunity presented itself. Thanks for the feedback (smile).

I am 52 YOA "gymrat" and am looking to play either "AAA" or "Major" in the Loudon County Tournament May 18-20. I have played on and off the senior circuit for 3 plus years, (I am a registered senior softball player - up to date ID card.) I was selected as a 50 AAA ISSA Winter National All World Player, (All tourney team last fall in Virginia Beach), I hit to all fields with power. I presently play NSA in the Isle Of Wight County Men's Softball on a team with much younger players. I am third in HRs, (hit behind team leader in HRs and have not hit one solo HR), and presently have a 700 plus on base percentage. I am an outfielder, however; I have also pitched this year in my NSA league. I have played softball on Coast Guard traveling teams since 1995 and still receive requests to play. If you need a solid 50 plus player with above average power to all fields please give me a call. I reside in the Tidewater Virginia area. 757.615.1808.

Thank you for your consideration.
