Ha ha. That's funny. Some of the teams were so big I thought we were David versus Goliath. I almost picked up a stone; but since I had been missing the cutoff all tournament I knew it would backfire.

silk11, Are you saying the NM Laser's performance was wind aided? I did pray once on Friday and then everything started going right until the Hawaiians knocked us out. Funny thing is- somebody saw them praying after our game in dugout. Those cheaters!

@Gary19. True. Herschell was a world class sprinter. I would be happy if I could run a 4.8 or 4.9.

This is a very interesting and entertaining conversation. I would be willing to bet that Herschell Walker still runs a 4.6.

They were comparing i.d requirements for senior softball and voting. No need to bash them. Freedom of speech and all.

Okay. Nobody's going to Phoenix Worlds in 50's AAA. Maybe we have a chance to win. Anybody have a suggestion for the best softball cleat for an outfielder? Looking for lightweight that helps with speed on the bases.

There are alot of good points. Our team is built on speed and defense but we do have some power. Not as much as alot of the elite teams but we had fun.I definitely see how the home runs after 3 being singles would draw the big power teams but I like playing them. Of course, I prayed for the wind to blow in(jk). I also wish they would make it easier for more teams to get in double A instead of letting them get pounded and 5 and out every year.

Jack, I don't see any pictures from Worlds of Lasers and we were the best looking team (except for the missing teeth). I saw Family Stone versus other teams but not our championship game. See ya in Phoenix!

My apologies. My first base coach just told me I was out barely. I could've have sworn I was safe and my whole dugout told me I was. Those lying communists!

I was bothered by the mistreatment of the umps wih players yelling at them after the inital protest. We need to show respect for them. I told the ump that I was safe and that is where it ended. Still playball54, I respectfully disagree with you and your 'group'. My entire team told me otherwise and don't you know I saw my foot hit the bag and then the ball hit the glove. I was there. Even the Hawaiian players next to the dugout were laughing with me. At the same time, Family Stone came back and scored 5 runs with 2 outs in bottom of 7th inning. Hats offs to them. Plus even if we won, we had to win another 'if' game. Maybe, we were spared . Not only was Family Stone a great team but they were a classy group of guys!

Congratulations to Family Stones from Hawaii who won the 50's Triple A. They were a classy team with a heck of a shortstop. We gave em a run, though. We had 2 outs on em in the bottom of the 7th inning and they scored 5 runs. Of course, we would have had to beat them again in the 'if' game. Way to go, Family Stones!

The umpires were pretty good overall that we had but in the top of the 7th inning, I beat out a grounder by a step and was called out. It changed the complexion of the inning, we didn't score, and the Family Stones 50's came back in the bottom of the 7th to score 5 runs and beat us. Hats off to the Hawaii team. They were awesome but how could an ump blow a call that everybody could see in a championship game? He had previously lamented that it was hot and if we won, we would have to play another game.
