June 10, 2016 #19 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: TX STATE CHAMPIONSHIP-TOC QUALIFIER mad dog ... I wouldn't use the term "great" to describe the fields at Krieg ... They are adequate. |
April 26, 2016 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: its a little long, but please give your opinion...... coop3636 ... "1 per the first 4 innings and 2 in the 5th" equals 6 runs ... Just sayin' |
April 18, 2016 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Vegas 50's Fields Poor answer, Dave ... The fact is that many of us pay a lot of money for the privilege of playing in one of your tournaments ... Not all of us play on a sponsored team ... Airline tickets, hotel, car, food, entry fee all add up, usually $1000 and more ... Then to have to pay to get into the park where the games are being played? ... Plucks a nerve, Dave, just like your thoughtless post. |
March 7, 2016 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Sunglasses for Softball Alan ... Where can I go to find more information about your sunglasses? |
March 3, 2016 #19 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Are possible changes ahead for future TOC tournaments In a previous post in this thread, SSUSA Staff says the contract runs through 2021 ... gott2play's credible source says the contract was extended for an additional 10 years ... Who's right? |
Jan. 28, 2016 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: batter's box SSUSA Staff ... I took a look at the rule book you have online ... The batter's box is 3' x 7', with 4' extending from the middle of home plate forward and 3' extending from the middle of home plate backward ... You are considered "in the box" if any part of both feet are either on the lines or within the lines of the batter's box ... Thank you for the references ... It seems that every time I ask someone about the rules governing "in the box" and "out of the box", I get a different answer ... However, the rule book seems very clear on this subject ... Are these rules different depending on the association (SSUSA, SPA, ISSA, USSSA, etc.)? |
Jan. 28, 2016 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: batter's box What are the official dimensions of a batter's box in senior softball? What are the rules surrounding being considered "in the box" and "out of the box"? |

Jan. 24, 2015 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: senior softball in South Carolina I'm interested in acquiring information about any softball leagues in or near the Hilton Head/Bluffton area of South Carolina … Anything out there? Thank you, #19 |
March 7, 2014 #19 | Topic: Teams looking for players Discussion: Low Counntry Senior Softball League, Charleston, SC Richard ... I'll be in your area during the month of October ... What are the chances I'll be able to catch on with a team for a short period of time? |
Feb. 20, 2014 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Time to move TOC You have a strange way of showing it ... In your previous post you seemed more concerned about the Winter Worlds and the Winter Nationals. |
Feb. 20, 2014 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Time to move TOC SSUSA Staff ... Perhaps it is the TOC that is being irreparably harmed by other tournaments ... I submit that playing the TOC so many months after the season ends causes problems for the teams who have qualified ... Since the TOC is supposed to be the jewel tournament for SSUSA, why not treat it that way? |
Feb. 14, 2014 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Time to move TOC SSUSA Staff: Please!!! ... Many of us have complained for much longer than 3 years about the time frame chosen for the TOC ... Perhaps you can tell us what SSUSA's economic interests are in maintaining the current TOC dates and location. |

Jan. 22, 2014 #19 | Topic: Bats Discussion: Bat policy SSUSA finds a new revenue stream ... Licensing fees ... The cost which will be passed on to the players in the form of increased cost for bats ... Thanks |
Jan. 20, 2014 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Mask or Pitcher Protection Screen You should never be penalized for hitting a ball into fair territory ... Hit the screen? ... Dead ball, no pitch. |

Oct. 25, 2013 #19 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Good umpires / bad umpires I was always of the impression that an umpire that hustled and got into good position was acceptable, until last weekend ... I played in a tournament where our umpire, and we had him for all of our games, hustled for good position but exhibited very poor judgement on his calls ... These calls included ones that benefited our team and ones that didn't ... If you can't make a correct call, all the hustle and positioning in the world won't make one a good umpire. |
