Discussion: IS SURF88 THE ONLY REP THAT DOES ANYTHING FOR REEBOK?

FIRST OF ALL: 1) i am not ed andrews brother in law, family friend, etc. the following is a copy of my post from 2011: take as you wish and whatever it's worth in considering ed's involvement with reebok problems. i am sure my sentiments can be reflected by quiet a few players that post on here. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Aug. 4, 2011

Discussion: Reebok Customer Service

got mine in jan of 2011, broke in 70 deg heat (35 hits). i got ahold of ed andrews, he got in touch in the r & d dept and got me an rma. i sent back the bat for inspection late jan. i mentioned to ed andrews that i would be at the T.O.C. in florida in feb. i got a surprise call on my cell during the T.O.C. , one of the reebok sales boys, met me at the banquest in the hanger and brought me a brand new bat. i dont think anybody else would have done what these people did. i appreciated the extra effort. i have broken 7-8 miken bats in the last 5-7 years, i have never gotten a replacement from them. maybe reebok is having a few problems with some bats, but at least they are trying to make things right in replacing the broken ones. i can not speak for their customer service people, i only dealt with ed andrews , and he is trying to help everybody. if you back track the old posts thru jan. on this website, you 'll see that ed has been fully engaged in the reebok problem. the replacement i got in feb is still going strong, never used it in less than 65 deg weather. in case you are wondering, i dont know ed andrews and i am not a reebok sales rep. frank armijo texas legends 65's PS: hope you all resolve your problems

BARRY- ever since the reebok melee senior bat came on the scene about 1 yr ago, there has been one reebok sales guy that gone to bat ( pardon the pun ) and has helped anybody that has bought and had a problem with a reebok bat. his name is ed andrews , cell #970-728-3144 , he lives in colorado. if you back track any reebok posts over the last few months, you'll see that he has been pretty involved with any problems that involves the MELEE SENIOR BAT. give him a call and explain the situation , you got nothing to lose . GOOD LUCK !

Discussion: best sunglasses for softball

you come up to bat and the sun is looming large and bright in your eyes, no clouds around. early and late games in particular. the pitcher knows this and tries to have the ball come out of the sun. i had a pair of polarized sunglasses, but still had one hell of a time seeing the ball, let alone trying to hit it. end result, 2 feeble grounders to 2nd base and one strikeout, completely missed the ball. more embarassing, the fans and players watching the game were snickering . what a helpless feeling. have you guys solved this problem ? it doesnt happen very often, but it will, especially in arizona and las vegas. are you aware of any mfgr that makes sunglasses that can help solve this problem. any input is appreciated. thanks

ED- yes you did, i got a 28 oz balanced melee in feb of 2011, broke in about 25-30 swings in 72 deg weather. you got me an return auth immed. and a couple of weeks later, at the TOC in florida, one of you homeboys chased me down at the hanger where the banquet was being held and gave me my replacement. the replacement is still going strong after a year, but i alternate it with a 28 ultra 2. you guys went overboard for me on the customer service end, and i was extremely pleased with your overall effort in taking care of broken bat problem. i dont think an another bat co would have done what you boys did.

there is dallas area sporting good store that got me a 28 oz, he was told that was pretty much the last one avail. i believe they are going to be discontinued or may have already been discontinued. he put about 30-40 swings last week. i will get it from him this next weekend in a georgetown, tx tournament. i have never hit a yellow combat, but i am getting tired of replacing ultra 2 's. i will hit it in georgetown games only, will see if i like it. if i dont i may try to sell it in the next 3-4 weeks.

MAD DOG- what is your opinion of the yellow combat ? picked up a used 30 oz and a 28 oz in almost new condition, only about 30-40 swings on it,so i am told. i will get the bats next week. i normally swing a miken ultra 2, which i just broke last week. i ordered 28 oz ultra 2 today , should get next week. i should know better than use it during batting practice. i understand the yellow combat will last longer, and i understand they have been phased out. what's your opinion on the distance between the ultra 2 and the yellow combat. see ya in georgetown. frank a
