| March 8, 2013 Reggie44 | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: Looking for a team in Salt Lake City -south Jordan areas Hey Jack.... There are senior leagues at the valley complex in Taylorsville. They play on Monday and Wednesday night, starting in April. I don't have a phone number for you but if you call the county rec center I,m sure they can help you out. I have watch some of the 65 and older teams play and those guys can still play and they love the game. Good Luck in finding a team. I will be playing on both nights for a 55 team and a 50 team. |

| Feb. 1, 2012 Reggie44 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Reeb ok bats I bought a Melee in March 2011 at the Mesquite Tourny (not from Ed). Got 50 swings out of it and it broke. Gave it back to the Rep I bought it from and he said he would see what he could do. Seen him at a tourney later in the year and he said Rebok would not do anything so I told him just give me the bat back and he said it he didn't have it and it was in his garage but was not sure which one it was. I'm sure I will never see it again. I loved the bat. It was great for 50 swings but I will never buy one from him again. |
| Oct. 3, 2011 Reggie44 | Topic: Bats Discussion: Phoenix Worlds Ed ... I bought a 28 oz. Balanced Melee back at the Mesquite Tourney at the end of March. I haven't used until this last weekend at the LVSSA Nationals. We played 10 games so I got about 40 to 45 swings on it. I loved the bat but it has already cracked. I would like to get another but not if it is only going to last 40 to 45 swings. I will be in Phoenix and I will come see you. If you can help let me know. | June 16, 2010 Reggie44 | Topic: Bats Discussion: best weight training to improve hitting Olie great post. Olie has been a weight lifter and great softball player for years and he definatly knows what he is talking about. This is my take on lifting weights as it pertains to hitting a softball. Currently I workout 4 days a week, mostly upperbody, but there have been times that I haven't worked out at all and have found that I can hit a softball just as far and just as hard as when I was working out. Most guys that play Major plus or Majors can hit the ball out on a consistant basis but the mental part of the game is where you can get your edge. That's where working out helps me. If I go into a tournament feeling that I have done the off the field work it helps a ton with my mental attitude and confidence when I step on to the field therefore translating into more home runs, higher batting average and better defense play. So working out and staying in shape may or may not make you hit the ball harder but it certainly will not make things worse. Reg #27 Colorado Rapid Erectors |
| May 7, 2010 Reggie44 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Huntsman games experts couple questions Lecak This is Reg from Mud Hens. I also play on the team as does Hersch. This is a pretty strong team and you would be a great addition. Along with Ollie we will let the boss know you are wanting to play. Love to have you with us. Reg |

| March 30, 2010 Reggie44 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Spring Worlds Mesquite / St George Johnny - Congratulations to you and all the guys on Fangrabbers. Your team played very well and it was fun to watch you and the Bandits go at. I was hoping to get a chance to play you guys, Olie and I played together for years as Young Men, but the Bandits messed that up for us. Congratulation to the Bandits also we've have had some great battles with them in the past. I'm sure we will see you guys in Reno! Reg #27 Rapid Erectors (used to be Mud Hens) |

| Aug. 27, 2009 Reggie44 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Torn Bicep Tendon Thanks for all the great info. I too tore it while swinging the bat. I am right handed so its my pull through arm. Unfortunatly I thought it was just a pulled muscle and did not see the doctor until 2 and half weeks later, so it is going to be 3 and half weeks for surgery after i injured it. Thanks JMM, Taits and Pieman. I will have to say that being put in that tube for a MRI freaked me out. LOL |
| Aug. 27, 2009 Reggie44 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Torn Bicep Tendon Just found out that I tore my bicep tendon from the bone in my left elbow. It will not mend on it's own and I need surgery. Has anyone had this injury/surgery and how has things turned out? How long is the recovery time before playing again? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Brad Edginton a.k.a. Reg (Colorado Mudhens) |
