I'll make sure to trip him coming around 1st base for you Swing...slow him up a bit.

Swing is correct...long toss is a great way to build up arm strength, no matter what position you play.

No need to over think this, just play long toss consistently and try to throw hard enough to make it a nice line drive toss.

Stepping or crow hopping as you come into your toss and follow through naturally as your body finishes off.

Discussion: Why remove teams from a Division?

Tim,

For someone who "doesn't care about the rings" or has much more important things to do in life than playing in 3 day tournaments...you sure spend a lot of time in here on this board trying to get everyone to drink your Koolaid.

Come on....enough talking, get on the field and play some ball already. Let the politics take care of themselves.

Win or lose, I respect every player I play against. I especially love playing against the better teams and your team is certainly one of those. It hasn't been the same this year not matching up against you guys...at least a couple times.

You state that "Softball as I see it is a game to played for fun"...then get out there and have some fun...I know I am.

:-)

Discussion: 5 run spot that allows 6 runs per inning to lower rated teams

Or how about...allowing the other team to get a possible 6 runs in innings 2-6 by actually scoring them.
In other words, give them the opportunity to score 6, but don't hand them anything before the inning starts.
This, I would go for.

Discussion: Reebok Melee

Used mine for the first time this weekend.
I gotta say, it's the best bat I have used.

I tried Mikens, too soft for me.

I used a Combat for the last 4 years and this bat out performs the Combats by far...we will have to wait see about the durability.

Discussion: Comparison

OP...I have been using Combat for the last 3 years now...and I have always had an end cap issue, that's about 5 bats. Glued them all back in and only one has stayed in after that.
Solid bat, but I'm sick of the end cap problems.

I don't have anything to compare for you yet, but I just ordered a couple Reebok's from Alan and I will let you know how that works out.

SFTF...seriously...nothing got in my head or screwed me up...ugh.

your right Tim...you didn't say you had two strikes...in this post. I must have heard it from you on the field.

Discussion: Should you be able to go for hits between the second baseman and shortstop

Come on Timmy....you didn't have two strikes on you when you went middle...it was the second pitch in the at bat.
And my catcher tells me the pitch was right down the middle.
Quit trying to justify your actions with false statements.
ugh.

Sorry for the triple post...

Gary...not the same, but I see your point.

I guess because the pitcher is so close and vulnerable is why it makes a difference to me.

To each his own I guess Timmy...if you don't have a problem justifying your actions to yourself...then so be it.

If someone else finds itís offensive and dangerous, then that is their choice.

What I find interesting is your constant attempt to get everyone elseís approval for your actions.

All I know is that if I hurt a pitcher from a ball I hit...whether I was purposely going "between the ss and 2b"
(btw..not fooling anyone with that one) or not...I don't think I would ever be the same...That is why my approach is not to go middle if at all possible.

It was an honor playing with you this last weekend Joe. You are an awesome player and a true ambassador of the game.
Only wish we could have performed up to our potential. Overall I had a great time and I look forward to next year. Any results from the finals? I can't find anywhere that has posted the finals yet.
What are some of these "Changes" you speak of?
