Webbie--

I've had the pleasure to play with four guys that i feel are the best (no disrespect to guys i haven't seen play).
In no special order:

Alan Dial
Billy Shields
Cliff Noble
Bert Hertzke

These guys are/were fearless: diving, covering the holes throwing from places other guys would not think of trying to make a play. The kind of players that the other team loves to watch play the game.

John, three of those guys played with GSF (Alan, Billy, Cliff) and were/are as good as you stated. They are all excellent hitters and teammates as well. Neither of them start many sentences with the word 'I'.
All 3 of them could lead off, bat second (not at the same time) or wherever. Two of them are also in the beer drinkers HOF.
Two of them play with us this season (Full Circle 65). Cliff looks the oldest but is only 64 or so. He also is directionally challenged at times... most notably when he leaves Lazy Harry's in Bullhead City, AZ. :-) He plays with Randy Hendricks (60 M+).
Since you lumped Bert in with these guys I can only assume that he's as good as them because I trust your judgement.

For my money the middle infield for the Hollis/Rose 60 team the best I have seen.

Best SS in 60's is the guy from the Ruth team that won the Major division last year in Vegas.

Thanks:

There may be others as good - but IMO there is no better SS in the 60 AAA division than Bob Lerch of Stahl Post 60's. You have to see him to believe him.

Ain't none of em' as good as the 2 guys that I've seen.

I don't know if they ever played on the same field together, but if they did they would leave all the others in their dust.

I don't know their real names, it really doesn't matter and who cares anyway.

They go by the code names of Webbie25 and Gary19.
