| Feb. 18, 2013 softball4b Men's 60 581 posts | The Dirty I was told I could start talking about it, so here goes. We hit the final version of the The Dirty bat from Combat and Kellysultimatesports. It was about 55 degrees and this was 7:30am Sunday morning after 3 games on Saturday. You might could say we were a little stiff. We took the wrapper off the bat and it was good from the get go. There a couple of videos on line with Steve Imlay age 63 1/2 and Fred Purvis 65 1/2 hitting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_hRDGMNiX8&feature=youtu.be http://youtu.be/NVNllmDUW70 http://youtu.be/QpbQkGU1ecs Bat was too light for me 27 balanced, I would rather swing a heavier end load. 5 swings, 4 absolute lazers and 1 bomb. I am sure sure how many swings we put on it, probably 100. Not a mark. It is my understanding the bat will be in production the 20th of this month. The bat currently has the approved senior stamp. I have swung Reebok with very good success for two years. I will be making the switch to The Dirty and I am under no obligation to do so. Any and all further questions should be directed to Mike Kelly. |
| Feb. 19, 2013 Lou50 Men's 50 18 posts | When can we start to pre order this bat? Have the old yellow combat need to get a back up. My gray USA ultra 2 just is not cutting it. |
| Feb. 19, 2013 swing for the fences Men's 50 792 posts | They should of never got rid of the old yellow ones.. they were great bats.... |
| Feb. 19, 2013 Lou50 Men's 50 18 posts | I have had this bat for two years and still has alot of pop. But |
| Feb. 19, 2013 Lou50 Men's 50 18 posts | But I know its days are numbered before it breaks. |
| Feb. 19, 2013 softball4b Men's 60 581 posts | If you go to their website, Mike is taking preorders. From my limited observation and relying on the comments of others, this bat swings like the original grey combat. |
| Feb. 19, 2013 Lou50 Men's 50 18 posts | Thanks for the info. |
| Feb. 19, 2013 leftyfalcon Men's 65 134 posts | I seen the video of the Dirty dismorning on Mike Kelly's web web site. The Dirty hit well with super+ power hitters. I ordered one last week. |
| Feb. 19, 2013 SLOBALL1 Men's 50 171 posts | Here we go again. The NEXT BEST THING. When will it ever end... |
| Feb. 19, 2013 Lou50 Men's 50 18 posts | Are these bats already being shipped out or will it take several months to receive them once ordered. |
| Feb. 19, 2013 Big Mike 27 posts | I watched the videos....wondering what was the true compression of the balls and what kind were they?.....does the bat come in standard weights? balanced and end loaded? |
| Feb. 19, 2013 softball4b Men's 60 581 posts | Thrump Stote 44/375. Bat comes balanced and end loaded. This was a 27oz balance, it felt balanced but did not feel light if I am making myself clear. To give you an example, IMO a 27oz Ambush swings light this bat felt like a true 27oz. I can only give you my impression, I do not know the specifics on the bat per se. You should send an email to Kellysultimatesports for more information. I do not sell bats, I only swing em. |
| Feb. 19, 2013 swing for the fences Men's 50 792 posts | let me see twilight ambush now the dirty, same shell and specs on barrel... just saying! |
| Feb. 19, 2013 softball4b Men's 60 581 posts | Lou50, I would call Kellysultimatesports and ask them when you could expect the bat. It is my understanding they go into production on Wed, but I am not in the loop. All I know is that Mike would not have let me post on the board if it was not ready to go. |
| Feb. 19, 2013 Webbie25 Men's 60 1802 posts | I also got to swing this bat-nice feel, but a bit light for me, as I am comfortable with a 29 or 30. The pop was very good on it and it swung more like an Ultra 2 to me.I can't wait to get a 30 and really break it in and see what it will do. From what I saw and felt, it will be a great bat. |
