SUSPENSIONS for Using an ILLEGAL BAT:
SENIORS, HOW ABOUT THE FOLLOWING:
FOR THE SUMMIT TO VOTE ON::::
1) The SUMMIT-- the only 2 balls allowed r: a) 50 cor ball
w/ a 375 comp (when temp are about 80 degrees B) 47
cor ball w/ a 375 comp, to be used in Fall, Winter, &
Spring.

THIS COULD TAKE CARE of the ball problems!!!

2) Use of an ILLEGAL BAT: A) FIRST TIME, ONLY.
a) admit to using an ILLEGALBAT-- One yr. b) Bat
turned in & tested-- Two yrs. (if, found ILLEGAL.)
B) SECOND OFFENSE: a) admit to using another
ILLEGAL BAT-- TWO YRS. b) if, a player has already
admitted or has had a bat turned in, 5 yrs. c) if, this
SECOND OFFENSE, has taken place, any of the
ORGANIZATIONS, can suspend that offending player
for 1 to 5 yrs.

IF, A PLAYERS GET HURTS, because another player did use an ILLEGAL BAT: that ORGANIZ', has the right to review that case & SUSPEND the OFFENDING player from 1 to 5 yrs or life. (That Organiz.' only.)

NOTE: If, a player is caught using an ILLEGAL BATS & has hurt 2 ballplayers, any ORGANIZ.' may review the last case or cases & SUSPEND the OFFENDING PLAYER, for 1yr, up to LIFE.

3) MANAGERS LIABILITY: a) FIRST TIME--- whole team gets the boot form that Tournament. b) SECOND TIME-- MGR, gets a 1 yr suspension (( 5 yr time period)) c) any player that has already been booted, because one of his TEAMMATES, in the past was using an ILLEGAL BAT, that player or players can also get the same SUSPENSION, 1 YR., same as the MANAGER. NOTE: This record should be keeped for 5 yrs. ((A player having a TEAMMATE caught for the SECOND TIME, W/ in 5 YRS.))

4) PLAYERS or MANAGERS THAT MAKE FALSE ACCUSATION(S): a) FIRST TIME BEING WRONG-- Manager-- must leave that game. THIS proccess is up to the Tournament Director or Other Team. b) Manager & or Players that have a HISTORY of making FALSE ACCUSATIONS--that individual, can be SUSPENDED by the TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR, SSWC'S FIELD REP, for the rest of the tournament. c) after a Player, or Manager, has been bootted from 1 event; any following "WRONG DOINGS", can be reviewed by The SUMMIT or by SSWC.
this will be left up to the ORGANIZ.', in which repeated False Accusations have been CLAIMED.

GENE 22 / EINSTEIN / JANO 23 / GARY 19: ANYONE: Help me out here.

Hope this helps !!! The STONEMAN.........A HOWLING

Stoneman, you're a monster
and thanks for all your dedicated efforts to help us
move toward solving out illegal/altered bat problems.

A whole bunch of your words
could be replaced by one thing.
Lifetime ban.
Caught with illegal bat?
Lifetime ban.
Won't give up bat for scrutiny?
Lifetime ban.
Offending team?
automatic suspension from tournament.

Do a bat crime?
Banned for a lifetime.

I also think it's time for a players union.
Really.
Our representatve can handle all our stuff
and notify us as things are dealt with properly and if not
we boycott the tournament or the association involved.
Somebody like the Wood would be a fabulous rep.

See.
We need some simple way to argue and follow up
regarding anything we're trying to resolve.
Our rep could handle everything.

What do you say?

JOE:: My good friend. Let's go slowwly. If, this does not work, then we can give any ORGANIZATION the right to ban a player for 5 yrs or more.

Remember, each ORGANIZ.', is separte.

ANOTHER POINT: IF, A Testing Lab believes that a bat has been made ILLEGAL, let the ORGANIZ.', that sent that bat in, contact the ballplayer.
WHY? Let the player know, that the Testing Lab wants to sent that bat off for more test. If, that player says NO.
Then the ORGANIZ.', that took that bat, sent that bat in for TESTING, can come back & give that PLAYER a 5 yr SUSPENSION, ETC, ETC.

JUST A HOWLING.......The STONE DAWG..

Stoneman; Einstein: I think I made myself clear on the bat situation when I placed my name on this National Board that I would not cheat. I am standing with anybody that wants to keep altered bats out of any game, but I have to totally disagree with the manager receiving punishment for a cheating player. I coached for 2 years & I did not know what bat each player bought. If it can be proved that the manager had prior knowledge, that is an accessory, but this type of rule would discourage coaches from putting teams together. Managers do not know everything that goes on, on a team.
I still think we need to think of the harm we could cause another player if we hit them with an illegal/altered bat instead of totally focusing on what punishment that needs to be administered after the fact. Loss of sight or even more extreme (life); loss of work or whatever. Hurting someone would be an awful thing to have over your head if you did it with an altered/illegal bat.

Tater, you have got to be kidding. I know what every guy on my team swings. Always have. I cannot imagine that a manager or player would not know what guys are swinging. It's simple curiosity. I pick them up and swing them. If they feel good and I see that they have some pop I may want to get one.

Some responsibility must be put on the manager. What's wrong with every manager taking this issue and addressing it with his team?

HIT THE GAP: THANKS, this WAS a SUGUESTION:

MANAGERS LIABILITY: a) FIRST TIME--- whole team gets the boot form that Tournament. b) SECOND TIME-- MGR, gets a 1 yr suspension (( 5 yr time period)) c) any player that has already been booted, because one of his TEAMMATES, in the past was using an ILLEGAL BAT, that player or players can also get the same SUSPENSION, 1 YR., same as the MANAGER.

TATER 50 / HIT THE GAP:: If, u do not mind,please, give or try & help out w/ the above. ITEM a), I believe is O.K.;
ITEM b) if, this happens TWICE w/ in a 5 yr period, should their be any suspension? What if, this happens 2 or 3 times a yr.? (( A MGR HAS A HISTORY of his PLAYERS using ILLEGAL BATS.)) If, so, then what? ITEM c) should this be dropped? or what?
AGAIN, I AM AGANIST LIFE TIME SUSPENSIONS. Only if, a player is injured badly & or a player keeps using ILLEGAL BATS.

HELP.........The STONEMAN

I agree with Joncon. Haven't we beat this to death yet. How more threads do we have have on the subect.

If you are so worried about safety why not push for not allowing the 47/525 balls and the Ultra's.

Can we play the taps for this subject?

FRED;; Yes, push for 50 cor balls w/ a 375 comp & or a 47 cor ball w/ a 375 comp. These r the only safe balls that BALL MFG'S can produce.

U-2s & SENIOR COMBATS: TRUMPBALL, can u help?
With the new testing, etc, is the U-2 & SENIOR COMBAT legal bats. Do these 2 bats meet the 1.20 BPF?

FRED / JONCON: What ever the SUMMIT does this winter, I would want some SENIOR imput? Will they change the rules to : 1 yr? 5 yrs.? OR a LIFE TIME BAN?

THANKS..... ThE STONEMAN

Stoneman you do realize the balls you are talking about are pillows? Find some and hit them before you suggest that. Guys are already crying about the 44/375 you go with the 50/375 or 47/375 and people will quit the game. You are talking about soft balls. I tested both the 50 and 47 and if there is any heat 70+ you will be looking at 10 man infields. You might as well play with the 16 inch ball.

You are right on with everything else but becareful what you wish for. Hit them and then see if you still want to play with them. A 50/47 core 400 would be much better and it would still achieve what you are looking for. Guys are still going to cry with that.

Not taking anything away from
our movement to resolve the altered/illegal bat
problem I feel like Elliot
that the caliber of ball problem is at the core
of the issue.
That is, TD's that use inferior balls
set up the desire to get more distance
by using hotter bats.
We still need powerful measures to get rid of
altered/illegal bats
but having good balls for all tournaments
would be a very wise element
of the solution.

I couldn't agree more. I also agree with having the player classification on his/her association card. It would be interesting to see how the cheaters would eventually get around this attempt at making the game fair for everyone.

HTG: I am not kidding; If you are an individual that is adamantly against altered/illegal bats, no one is going to talk to you about altering bats. I put on my roster in huge Letters; WE DO NOT USE ALTERED BATS; then I got everyone to sign it. I still do not believe that a manager knows everything about player's bats on a team.
I do not know the answer, but I do know of one guy that will not alter or use illegal bats & his name is below.

STONEMAN: The 44/375 would be great, as long as they do not change the 120 bp. Any suspension should be for all associations. Hurt (define hurt) a player with an altered bat = LIFE. The manager needs to get involved at the base level, when it comes to altered bats. The manager has a responsibility to educate the players on not using altered bat. The manager of a player that is found to have used an altered bat, should get 1 year suspension, 2nd time =LIFE, and the same for the player that used the bat. Only 1 question…….How do you get the bat (for testing) from the batters cold lifeless hands.

Irish Catholic New Yorker speaking……”Would that then be a sin Father” ????

Gary19: Yes, the Ohio Silverados will be in Ft. Myers. If anyone sees me and agrees with me, say hi, and if you don’t believe that there are altered bats being used….Walk on by LOL.

Isn't it interesting that the guys
who are most disrespectful of others
like Joncon and Ready to Go
and a host of others
don't put down who they really are?
A connection?
Of course, there is.

Listen, I don't ever want to speak with anyone
who doesn't post as they really are
and don't want to hear any comments from anyone who doesn't.
The website doesn't differentiate?
Fine.
But I do.
