New Miken Ultra 1/4 oz end load painted grey
If the majority of seniors don't want hot equipment how does anyone explain how this bat is making it to market. I see some places are marketing it that the original is back. I'm pretty sure senior softball players are not sheep for those who think that SSUSA or the bat companies, or the direct sellers are manipulating the market to make more money. I'll bet these things will sell like crazy.

The ones that are always fighting about this hot bat or this great ball are 10 of the same ones daily. So that does not make them the majority of the seniors playing tourneyment ball out in the real world of senior softball. Some of them have names and some of them don't. I like the ones that identify themselves and a card carrier.

I agree with both Joe's. I guess that the U2 Maxload is just too endloaded for some.

How do we know this new bat is hot. Just because its endloaded doesnt mean it will be built the same as the Original Maxload. It would seem to be Great marketing to advertise a Gray Miken Endload.
I'm sure the bat mfg's listen or monitor this and other sites. They are aware of the controvery over their Senior bats.

Whoever said the majority of seniors do not want hot equipment? This is very much quite the opposite.

Just because they build it doesnt mean the majority wants it. We use Senior equipment to remain competitive. If Senior Bats went away tomorrow I doubt many would complain for long, as long as we have a "Lively" ball.
I would be one of the many to complain, even though I am a proponent of earlier days when we used lesser bats, I want the same advantages as the next guy.
Bullet, do you hit with Senior bats?

bullet, you won't hit them at me. LOL

Just kidding. :) How is the off-season going?

I agree that good hitters will hit with anything, but the special bats make decent hitters good and weaker hitters often at least decent. And I am not sure that is how it should be.

joe ,bruce,as E4/E6 says, its not just the about hot combo we have, its that it takes away a large part of the game, namely defense.also as he says, take either the ball or bats away and we will still play.i would be satisfied with ASA equipment personally if we went to that change, but in order to stay competitive we have to use what is out there for now or its like taking a knife to a gun fight.what i really would like to see is the 52-275 ball with our senior bats "so as no one would feel the need to cheat with a shaved bat".it would bring defense back into the game, big boys would still get their hr's,base hitters would still be base hitters, there would be no more mishit hr's by guys who shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

Spoonplugger, don't be so quick to judge. Maybe Sloball1 just buys senior bats and doesn't swing them. I also see from his Oct 10, 2009 post that he has the ASA Toxic and a Senior Toxic.
Am I right Sloball1?

SLOBALL 1-- Nice try--

You were swinging senior bats less than 1 year ago.

Feb 16, 2009

"used yellow senior combat, didn't like grey one either.

You must only sell Worth once in a while.
