I just got off the phone with a very dear friend in softball
and I got to one of those aha
moments where everything makes sense.
Without getting on a soapbox
life in 2010 very tough on a lot of us
for lots of discernible reasons.
It makes softball,
where we still can get and expect to get, true satisfaction,
important recognition and support
that much MORE important
and rightly so
for A-L-L of us.
I don't want to fight or mess with
Robert, Kevin, meter maids,
or any of us who's only crime is trying
to live/survive in a very tough
often counterproductive culture
that is America 2010.
Let's all do the best we can
to recognize how important the game
we play and want to continue to play
is to ALL of us involved
from TDs to marketers to players
to families and friends
and let's try to include and
incorporate the most important and positive elements we can
in fashioning and championing
any decisions, moving down the road.
There's just NO DOUBT, no possible
doubt that we need lively bats and balls to enjoy our game and if we can make the game safer without taking
the fun out of it, let's do it.

Very good sentiments. My point is let's not get to the point where we have to have whacky rules to make is safe. Let's find a compromise solution that does not radically change the game.

Playing is the key. Some of us want the heat some of us want the cool. But we all want to play, plain and simple.
How is SS Joe?

the compromise is the 52-275 ball, than all players will be on the same level as they used to be,hr hitters getting their hrs and the base hitters getting their base hits.also we would bring some defense back into the game, what more balance could you want.

Hey mad dog, how does the 52-275 compare with the Worth Classic M or the Classic M Plus? We used the Classic M in our Senior League earlier this year and have just changed to the Classic M plus. The M plus seems to be a better ball in the heat.

not even close as far as i'm concerned.i think your getting them mixed up tho as there isn't a classic m + just classic m(40-300),the other is classic +
(52-275).
the + is a lot better when the temps go up(85 +),the m just dies in the heat.now the m in the cold will fly.the + is the same regardless of temp.the + is a little more bouncy than the m. i hope your guys give the + a good shot up there and feel with your heat that you'll be surprised with its performance.it is the usssa ball of choice now in dallas,i would assume that it is all over the country.
