| Nov. 18 canIjack Men's 60 322 posts | We have been using 44 cores 375, we are just starting to hit 44 core 400 Dudley’s about 2wks ago and we have cracked about 4 different bats. 3 senior are combats and 1 ASA rate worth. My question is which ball you prefer to hit BP with. We loved the distance, but we paid the price with cracking our BP bats. I swing hard every pitch so I need a durable softball, any Helpful suggestion on the type and core/psi, Thanks Kennard |
| Nov. 18 einstein Men's 50 3112 posts | Hey Ken. BP balls where I live from morning dew and sprinkers get wet and then heavy and crack bats. My solution is getting another more durable bat like a Jeff Hall Worth bat or Super Freak or J 2 (Demarini) USSSA bat and don't hit the senior bats at all in BP. |
| Nov. 18 BruceinGa Men's 70 3233 posts | When it's wet or cold we try to use the 50cor 125comp bp balls from Annaconda. Its not as fun as hitting the MCT's or other good balls but you don't break as many bats. For me my max with these balls is just a bit over 300'. einstein is right about using an ASA or utrip bat for bp. Try to find one with close to the same swing weight as your sr bat. A year ago I bought a 2007 Virus for $75 with a years warranty. A couple of weeks ago I bought a 2007 Players Model Virus for $65 with a warrenty. These are my bp bats as well as my Freak Plus. |

| Nov. 18 mad dog Men's 65 4191 posts | kennard,evil has a bp ball(its a 48 cor i think and about 300 comp,or something to that effect) that goes ok and is supposed to be easier on bats,its orange and white,and also helps in watching spin you get on the ball,like in getting back spin for distance. i would look for a miken 484 maniac,maybe a easton syn 2 as both of these bats are tanks.if its wet i rarely will bp in that type of conditions,i'll wait for dry conditions. |

| Nov. 19 einstein Men's 50 3112 posts | I know what you mean, Ken. The feel of hitting the ball is telling about the swing and satisfying as hell. I cracked a red/black ultra in less than 20 swings. Broke my heart and desire to swing senior bats in BP. |
| Nov. 19 canIjack Men's 60 322 posts | I love to see this OLD guy hit 350+, it addicting. The only time that I don't mine softballs is when I'm working on base hits in the holes. By the way Joe,I may not be coming to LV, Won't know till late tonight. I hope I can get thru the Mountains. A large Strom is heads down here today thru the weekend; I have no chains if it snows. Looks like no forty for me. I was looking forward in seeing my Granddaughter, we’ll see. |
