Hey Gang, I was just watching the MLB Channel and learn that Cliff Lee has just signed with the Phillies. I was shocked. Good for him although I would be careful of the city of brotherly love. Great for the Phillies and the Yankees get what they deserve. I do feel for the Texas Rangers. I did think that he would end up there. I am looking forward to the same channel tomorrow night because it is going to air the 7 game of the 1960 world series. The Yankees set all the records and the Pirates won the series. I just figured that I would throw that out here. we all started playing baseball. Thanks Harry

Harry, I suppose your observation about the Pirates winning the series (the Bill Mazeroski series) in 1960 has nothing to do with the fact that you are from Pittsburgh does it? LOL.

Ho, You always manage to get a plug in for your tourney. I hope you get a great turn out.

Larry, I have only one of those bubble head dolls and that is correct it is the "Maz'. He was my idol and if you recall I used to be a pretty good second baseman.I always had those stocky polish thighs and still do. Thanks Harry

Harry, I think one of the first times I remember you, you were playing second for Addie's with some of my old teammates from Federal Wrecking. Those were the days! Then I got married to #1 and got off track...

Wasn't Steve Blass a pitcher for the Pirates? Or am I mixing up names again in my oldage.

Webbie, You are correct - Steve Blass pitched for the Pirates in the late 60s and early 70s. He is the first guy I remember who had the loss of control problem like Rick Ankiel had when he pitched for the Cardinals a few years ago and came back as an outfielder.

Kinda nice to see the Yankees and all their money get left at the altar for once on someone they really wanted. I do feel for Cliff Lee-only $130 million? Gee, maybe we should take up a collection for him to make up the difference. :-)
