| July 23 surf88 Men's 65 1000 posts | Telluride, Colorado Softball Tourney Next Week-End Next week-end is a softball tourney in T'ride. My friend, Ryan Dyer is including this tourney with his Telluride Baseball Festival. It is the 1st softball tourney in maybe 20 years and I would like to field a team of seniors to play in this tourney. No one in Telluride has ever seen senior ball. There will be young teams in this tourney but we will be able to use our senior bats and it will also help Ryan to get the fields again next year for a bigger and better tournament in possibly the most beautiful setting for softball in North America. The tallest waterfall in Colorado is just one mile from the fields. A campground with showers is just 50 yards from the fields. I will handle the entry fee and a close friend manages top quality mountain lodge units and log / hotel / condos. If you can make it from Denver, Salt Lake, Albuquerque, Phoenix or wherever you are, please call me and let's put a team together to have some fun, get some practive and show young future players what senior ball can be like.I appreciate your follow up and participation. | Aug. 1 surf88 Men's 65 1000 posts | r Now that the Telluride Softball Tournament is concluded, I share the following info. Within two weeks, we will post next years dates for the tournament. Next year, this tournament will be a big deal. There will be a division for young teams and a division for seniors. This year, we did not give you ample notice to prepare for the Telluride venue but next year, you should plan to come. I played 3 games on Saturday against the young guns and temperatures were 76 degrees, views of the beautiful San Juan Mountains were gorgeous and the victorian Town of Telluride was alive with the Telluride Cajun Music Festival. | Aug. 1 surf88 Men's 65 1000 posts | r Two fields in the Town Park and two fields down valley. No lights, remember they used to have the World Aerobatic Hang Gliding Championships in Telluride. Will let you know for next year and will hopefully not be a conflict with other tourney dates. Ed |
