March 2 ozone Men's 55 4 posts | pine tar removal Does anyone know a good way to remove pine tar blotches from a Miken Ultra? |

March 2 BruceinGa Men's 70 3233 posts | pine tar removal last week as I was passing through our den :) I overheard something on HGTV. They were trying to clean up some dinning room chairs and said the weakest solvent was paint thinner. They named a total of four but I only remembered three, paint thinner, acetone, and lacquer thinner. You might even want to try some waterless hand cleaner such as GoJo. |

Leave it to dwell on the spots you want to remove for about 5 min. Hope this helps. |
March 2 Lefty Men's 75 721 posts | pine tar removal I use Goof Off remover to clean my bats. It doesn't damage the paint job and removes everything I wanted to remove. You don't have to rub that hard. I bought the Goof Off at Wal Mart. |
March 2 hombre Men's 60 240 posts | pine tar removal Turpentine removes tar. It's still recomended for removing tar from auto finishes. It'll work and it's cheap. What you have left over can be used for paint remover. |
March 3 BruceinGa Men's 70 3233 posts | pine tar removal I just remembered the 4th solvent, kerosene. Paint thinner, kerosene, Acetone, and lacquer thinner. |
March 3 Cobrapilot Men's 50 27 posts | pine tar removal I would think that the "Bug & Tar Remover" that you buy at auto parts stores would work. You may even have some sitting on the shelf in the garage. I have used soft scrub and it has worked also. |
