I'm planning on attending the 2013 Winter Softball Camp at Altamonte Springs, Florida. Has anyone on this board attended this camp and if you did what was your overall experience and thoughts about it and would you go again?

Thanks in advance

Worst thing I have ever seen. You mail in your money.1st time players were placed on a team. Then we found the other teams had been playing together for years. Most of them know each other. They are down from cold climateWas not told no Ultra Got there nothing to hit with..Worst thing was we were not told about legacy rule.Which was you could bring your son.So was playing against 20,30 year old players.Do no wast your money. We took batting practice one day. Then we played a 4 team round robin. That was what the camp was.

Go to Classic Spring Training in Jacksonville, FL.in February. It is not as expensive and you get a bunch more BP. I have been to both and will not go back to The Winter Camp.

Thanks for the info guys. I've now have heard a lot of bad reviews on this camp. I've got a cruise out of Miami that leaves on Feb 14th and back on the 18th. Is there any other softball training camps around Florida either two weeks before or after these dates? I'm driving down from Ontario,Canada. It would be nice to get some softball time when I'm down there.

Classic Spring Training is a super camp and Curt puts all his effort into making it a quality experience for everyone. Weather can be perfect or it can be a bit chilly. Bring warm weather stuff and sweats in case a cold front rolls in. Worth going to.

Can also go on this site and express where and when you will be and players will contact you for BP sessions around Florida. I always find parks with activity options when there.

Thanks surf88....I'm trying to register on the Classic Spring Training site . It's telling me "Currently your account is waiting for approval from a staff member. Once an administrator has approved your account you will get access to this forum."
Hopefully this won't take long. It would be great to meet up with some players to do some bp when in Florida.

Thanks Bruce.....I got on to the site. Not to much going on at this time on it. If I hadn't planned the cruise I would have registered for the Classic Spring Training in Jacksonville. Maybe another year if I can get the wife to agree.
I'm actually planning on staying over night at Jacksonville on my way down Feb 12th.Now if there was an off chance that I could tag up with some people on the 12th and get some hitting in I would come down a day earlier??? I'd just have to make sure the wife is occupied(that could be costly)

I've also heard so many good things about this camp. Just wish it was closer.
