If you are referring to the SPA tournament in Springfield, MO,

Last year I entered my 55 major team in the tournament. There were only four 55+ teams entered (2 major and 2 AAA). My team played both of the AAA teams twice (spotting 5 runs each game) and never got to play the other major team. Fool me once and that's all it takes. I will not go back.

Tim, I feel your pain and know exactly how you feel. Player loyalty is a rare quality these days.

Discussion: Talk regarding illegal bats

There is only one definitive way to stop it. If an assortment of bats were furnished and made available at each game on each field, and controlled by the umpire, everyone would have to use one of them. That would obviously level the playing field for everyone. That of course is not realistically feasible and will never happen. It would be very interesting if it did.

Bobby, I received the package late yesterday afternoon. Thanks again. I will provide my feedback within a week, the next time some of the guys on my team have a chance to get out and take batting practice.

I have not yet received the sample pack you said you were sending me. I will definitely post my feedback on the ball after trying them out.

My original question pertained only to different brands of 52/300 softballs. This thread has been completely hijacked by the majority of posters. I fail to understand why people continuously do the same thing to almost every thread on this board. Please start other threads if you are unable to stay on subject.

Mad Dog, what other 52/300 balls have your tried for comparison against the AD Starr Tattoo balls? For instance, have you tried the Worth Hot Dot ASA AHD12CY with PROCOMP composite cover?

What are your opinions on the best performing 52 core 300 compression softballs available for purchase? Please do not comment on whether or not you like the 52/300 softballs, only which ones you like best if you have tried or have been required to use them.

Discussion: 2012 Home Run Rule Clarification

SSUSA please clarify the following rule:
Can the home team go 'one-up' on home runs in the unlimited inning, provided the one-up home run does not win the game for them? I have heard differing opinions that this rule has been changed and is now allowed in 2012. However, I have not been able to find this rule change actually documented.

Oklahoma also borders Missouri. Would you be interested in a 55 major team based out of Kansas City, MO? If so, e-mail me at brett.swanson@ericsson.com.

Discussion: 55+ Major Team Based out of KC, MO Looking For Players

I am looking to add 2 or 3 more 'committed' players. My team will be playing two tournaments (SSUSA & SPA) per month (May-September). We are not a sponsored team. Everyone has to pay their own expenses. If you are interested, please e-mail me at brett.swanson@ericsson.com and provide me with your contact information. Serious inquiries only.
