read my last reply, it included all that. SAME DAY should mean same weather for all. i included ball. We are back to difference in hitters. you got to believe the hitter has something to do with the hit! Not just the bat.

and what might that be? Same field, same bat, same ball, same day, same pitcher. Guys are different sizes and shapes, so we are back to the hitter again.

you got that right. 10 guys using the same bat ,will most likely, not all hit the same distance. It's the hitter, not the bat.

azsenior--you will also notice Red del asked about the Rip it Senior. But as far as that goes, I wouldn't get my hope up about the ASA Reaper either.

If it hits 50' further than the other ASA bats it won't last long as legal. Some may just like the feel. If that is the difference, that okay. I doubt if we are going to find the maker of Rip it and reaper making a bunch of outlaw bats!

Stoneman is RIGHT. It's amazing how many players are ready to bend the rules and always pushing to legalize something that has had the death researched out of it. I swear you guys would be plugging wood bads if that's what we had to end up using. That batguyaz is always hyping those Rip its and reapers like he had stock in the company. I tried a Rip It, it's no better than any other 98mph bat. Tried the yellow one also(fastpitch bat). Let's face it it's illegal!!!

The Rip It Senior is junk like a lot of others. Look guys, they all hve to meet the ASA 98mph spec. Don't get your hopes up. They can't afford the recalls. It kind of like "do you want fries with that?" It's "do you want end loaded or balanced" .Your not going to get an Ultra II in sheeps clothing.

Fountain hills, east of Scottsdale, has a league that starts September 20th at 8:00AM. El Dorado in Scottsdale has pickup games every tuesday and Thursday 8:00AM. Fountain Hills has good fields and is pretty good league. Wednesday is 65 and over and Thursday is 50 and over.

I don't have a day job, I retired at 50. If your point is, get rid of the ULTRA ll bats. It's a simple statement. It doesn't need 40 posts in a blog to get to your point. You have it figured out, play in games that don't allow them. Others can play where they use them. Why does that bother you?

"But, don't ask other to modify their game, or THE game to accomodate you. How selfish" Gary, do you know who might have said that?

your post also says, and I quote"I don't personally care about the bats". Then you again whine about the bats. Your posts get very confusing.

to be more exact, your last post said"but don't ask others to modify their game, or THE game to accomodate you.How selfish". Then you whine about the bats. What's up with that?

Your advocating change the game and at the same time saying "don't advocate changing the game." I'm starting to get what Stoneman is saying. You mainly want to stir up trouble.

Gary, that's an interesting comment to someone that is advocating changing the game in almost every post. You advocate in every post to get rid of the hot bats. Now,You have lost me on what you are really advocating. It's a fact seniors have slower relflexes and poorer eye sight. Now your advocating "quit the game" rather than make it safer. Are you advocating anything or just playing devils advocate on every post?

at 51 I felt somewhat the same way you do. Now at 60, as you will see, The game looks a little different. I want to continue to play and not get taken out by a 51 year old power lifter using an ULTRA. Don't say quit playing. Life and friends are a little more valuable the fewer years you have left.

Ray2-out of curiosity . Why did the players that you overheard say they were going to take you out, did they say that? did you know them? did you marry their sister. There is always a reason. Guys don't just get up and announce "I'm going to take out the pitcher".

I don't believe any of these posts are negative, unless you count those advocating retaliation and bullying. We can't solve this problem without a meeting of the minds and I admire all of those concerned enough about their friends to join in this discussion. I do believe the hot bats are intimidating to new players and they don't want to get hurt so they won't sign up. We need to encourage the physical and psyhchological benefits of taking part in a team effort. Finding avenues of play that advocate safety should be paramount. Having players scared to play any position is not good. outfielders, playing at the warning track is ridiculous. Make a game out of it so hitters and fielders are important. I'm sure we can come up witha solution with a little effort.
