If any 50M/AAA needs a player let me know. I play SS, 2nd or anywhere on the OF. Hit for high Avg (750-800 OBP) with Occassional power. Above average speed and arm strenghth, don't mind running, good attitude. If possible need for the hotel expenses to be paid for; don't mind sharing a room with a non-smoker. Reside in Chesapeake VA.

Alan, Let me be sure that what I am reading is correct. You sold us a bat that was not yet approved or certified by SSUSA but it does have the SSUSA approval logo stamped on the bat. That sounds shady to me, but as long as it gotten the SSUSA blessing I am fine. Your reputation might be on the line on this one...I am just saying. I am hitting with it this evening. Have a nice day.

Discussion: New Combat AMBUSH break in tips (and other senior bats)

Quick Q? Those are lot of swings to open up especially for a senior bat. Wondering if it going to crack at 200 swings later, which in reality it is no differnce than the present senior bats already out there. I guess we have to wait and see. I need a new bat, but will wait to see how this one does, I like the whitE centenerian a lot, but lets see how long this one last after the initial 200 swings. Please keep posting.

I still will like to know which is one is better or does it matter. As far as properly warming up and stretching I do both. The problem I have the same a small quad pulled not even sure if it that serious, have being playing with it for few weeks. I know that rest is probably the only real cure but if this wintercrest can be of any help why not try it.

Taits, perhaps you did not vote for him, but the majority of the country did. He is our President reagardless of your affiliation and he deserves the respect that the country imparted upon him. Racist pigs likes you is why we as a country could never be unified.

Thanks to the ESB bunch; Great time, new friends and many memories. Is what this sport should be all about. Thanks fellows. I believe that the Combat Centenarian is the best senior bat for pure line drive hitters. I used my blue and black?? on Friday and Saturday and it did great...on Sunday I used my friends white one and the ball was jumping this one has more POP great bat. To my friends from TSC especially the want to be “Paco” LOL. You won the last battle, that was great pitch or a lousy swing, so rather than me taking the glory I am going to give to you, Great pitch, I am scar for life. Great games.

Discussion: What makes it a "Senior" bat???

Swing one and you will notice the difference. Let me put it to you this way the best shave bat does not compare to a Senior bat. Bullets thru the infield and probably 40-60 extra feet. It is like a magic bullet, 300 hitters become 500 hitter and 500 hitters becom 700 hitter...players that could not reach 280 at their prime now can clear 325. That in my humble opinion is the difference.

Goforit, I have no desire to play M+, first of all I don't have the passion or dedication for the game that I used to have and that playing at the M or M+ requires, secondly I have no desire to spend money to play softball when I can get my groove on playing locally with the flat bellies, but the most important reason is playing with friends and team mates that I have known for years...we have a very strong local 50AAA that we play some tourneys and have won our share of tourneys, but do to some of the players finances we do not play as often as I would like...I belong on the AAA level better suited for me. Personally I have a very special set of skills that I develop through out the years (paraphrased from the movie Taken). I am a 750-800 OBP, above average arm, soft hands, probably in the top 10% speed wise, good attitude, but lack the intensity level that once had...you know the one that when you make an error or don't come through on a clutch situation you want to kill yourself or loose sleep over it...I lost that. I just got picked up to play 50M on the ISSA worlds and I have two weeks to get mentally ready (passion/intensity), to get my MOJO back for that wkend and I will.

I have to agree with Mad Dog, Here in the Tidewater area of Virginia for example we only have one 50 AAA and one 55 AAA. So even if we had the talent there is no team to try to join. There are few 50M and 55M in Northern VA and MD that some of the local guys play with...long drives (4-5 hrs) on Sunday afternoon by yourself very risky. Congratulations on your move up.

Actually Yes. My buddy and I were having BP this last weekend and we used his NEW UII 29 OZ and it was dead. I just called him and he told me that he called Miken and Miken told him to return it that there is an issue with them.

KBL, Thanks for reading my mind. I just fired my agents due to the lack of calls just like TO. Here is a quick synopsis of my greatness...Handsome, good looking and attractive...Beautiful Puerto Rican caramel skin color, beautiful sexy accent..., OOPS wrong website LOL. Played major with Metro Stars few years back we won the TOC and I was selected as one of the all tourney players. Since then played AAA with a local team ILA 50 (don't have much time to travel) and have made the all tourney team in few ocassions. Play SS, usually hit 2nd or lead off, fast, strong arm, soft hands, hit around 750-800 with above average power specially with a senior bat, good attitude, don't mind running for people, like to play field, plenty of energy...Just ask me how great I am and I will tell you and like you can see extremely modest. LOL. Just having fun guys. Enjoy life to the fullest.

Discussion: On Base Percentage (OBP)

Excellent topic, I am big proponent of OBP. My only disagreement is with the SAC fly as an out. To me a situational SAC fly should not be an out. The 5th run on third with less than two outs all what I want the batter is to hit a deep fly ball to score the 5th run. I personally do not penalize him for doing what I asked. Any other SAC fly should be an out...

Jawood...good point but in reality the guy that is hitting bullets might be unlucky once or twice but he will be fine and they will fall. When I used to coach by first 7 batters were set on stone. I knew what they could do regardless...I did not panic if one or two were having a bad day because I knew them. I also believe that this approach gave everybody confidence knowing that they were there regardless...not like some teams that I have played lately that if you have one bad game the line up for the next game is all upside down... I personally believe that the last concept of rearranging the line up from game to game bring unstability to the team and is very unproductive.
