Discussion: LOOKING FOR A TEAM

I am very interested especially if we or most of all are going to be retired military I did 24 in the Navy. Let me know how it goes with the sponsor. As I said I am not on a senior team roster as of this moment. Of course I remember Stacks in my opinion he made the play that aloows us to win the 50M TOC on 2011. You can see it on the action Jack pictures check it out...full extension on RF after running a long way. How many people do you still need? e-mail me at: andres.medina@navy.mil. Thanks.

Ed, I wish I would had seeing this before. I committed to very good local flat bellies team. I am playing SS and leading off. Don't cost me a penny to play as most tourneys are going to be local as you know senior ball can get expensive ESPECIALLY WITH NO SPONSOR. Currently I am not with any senior team. If you or any team 50AAA/M or 55AAA/M needs a player for a tourney and as long as I am not playing with my local team and I am contacted early enough it is very possible that I could be there. My correct number 757-685-4043. Again thanks for the invite. Good luck!!!

For what I gathered our team broke up not sure why as I am not part of leadership. I am looking for a 50 or 55 major team. My preference is SS, LF, LC, RC, 2nd in defense and 1,2,3 in the lineup however, where I hit is not that important as I believe that on a winning team everybody on team from one to twelve should be able to hit.

Weeweechu

It's a romantic full moon, when Pedro said, 'Hey, mamacita, let's do Weeweechu.'

Oh no, not now, let's look at the moon!' said Rosita.

Oh, c'mon baby, let's you and I do Weeweechu. I love you and it's the perfect time,' Pedro begged.

'But I wanna just hold your hand and watch the moon.' replied Rosita.

Please, corazoncito, just once, do Weeweechu with me.'

Rosita looked at Pedro and said, 'OK, one time, we'll do Weeweechu.'

Pedro grabbed his guitar and they both sang.....

'Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

Discussion: Why Not Have A Players Committee Of Real Players To Over See The Rules

Agree with Softball4b additionally if you don't like it play on another organization. ISSA as far as I know don't have that rule and they are not as strict as SSUSA is either. ISSA as I always say "you pay you play" kind of association heck for the most part they don't even check rosters. They don't have a MP rating you don't see anybody complaining about them. Heck in Myrtle Beach a 50M team registered as a Major team, the tourney only had three Major teams and two folded...so the remaining 50M was allowed to play 50AAA without giving any runs...of course thet won the tourney for which they are very proud. You don't here anybody complaining about it. We just go play hard and sometimes we win and sometimes we loose. We are rated 55M in SSUSA and 55AAA in ISSA and that is the case for a lot of team ratings in ISSA...Again no Major PLus team just AA, AAA and M. Great organization in my opinion.

Discussion: players please respond to rule changes

I just don't see anything wrong with the rule. Why change the rule for just the benefit and to please the ego of few major plus players. Please let me remind you that at the highest level USA National Team level they have HR limits...Please correct me if I am wrong but The USA lost a game because they could not keep the ball in the park...so if they are OK with the rule why can we a bunch of old men can also agree with it. Guys this is a hobby, yes a hobby...there is no a $10M contract awaiting for you anywhere. You MP teams call each other and have your own tourneys and have no time limit and no HR limit...How many games are you expecting to play and how much would an umpire will cost you? Be realistic you are not the only players playing softball. I played 50M and very rarely we hit any DBO HRs. We kept the ball in the park, right now I play for very good 55M and we won few tourneys last year and we never hit any HRs DBO. Belive me MP Players you are not that good or not that much better than any of us...Stop glorifying yourselves. If you don't like don't play. Simple. My 2 centavos.

Discussion: Boombah Turf shoes

Tanel is the way to go. Is the only shoe that I wear a little pricey but worth the extra few dollars. Last longer and are much comfortable than anything else out there. Have used Boombah in the past and ElitE, they are pretty but don't last. I am with Omar I don't have to change shoes in between games. I Play SS with the Flat bellies and OF with big bellies LOL. Good luck.

I really care less what you do and if you are a sandbagger or not, but just because u play by the AAA rules it is no excuse, you still a 50M team playing AAA. The difference is not on the HR allowed but rather on the overall quality of players. I played for few 50M teams and most of the time we didn’t hit all of HR we concentrated on hitting line drives and playing defense and by the way we won the SSUSA TOC 2010. However, the problem here don't lie with you but rather with RB and the association that is willing to allow you to play down so they can collect the money, at the very least your team should have given the 5 runs as an equalizer even though a lot of people including me don’t believe that is much of an equalizer. Enjoy your win, however if I was one of those AAA that you beat down. I will be disappointed that I paid the money for a chance to come 2nd. Mis 2 centavos.

Interesting a 50M team playing AAA and don't give any runs. I guess you are very proud of your win. ISSA you pay you play, that is the beauty of it RB don't care he just collects the money. Congrats on your sandbagging win...My 2 centavos.

If any 50M/AAA or 55M/AAA is in need of a player, please let me know. I usually play SS with the flat bellies and OF with the big bellies (LOL). My preference is SS, 2nd, LF, RF, RC, RF. I don't play 3rd and I can't pitch other than that I can play anywhere. I hit for average with above average power as needed. Still very fast for my age and have an above average arm. Feel free to contact JAY C for contract negotiations (LOL). The sooner you let me know the better. I reside in Chesapeake, VA.

Discussion: ISSA Virginia Beach tourney rained out.......who got screwed????

bkb555, That is correct as of Tuesday of that week by Wednesday the forecast if I recalled correct was 90% Friday, 80 or 90 on Sat and about 70-80 on Sunday. I recalled calling my coach and telling him not to come that it was going to rain. I can not be certain but I could almost put money on it that the VA Beach Parks a Rec cancelled everything by Thursday, they are extremely protective of the PA Park complex. Bottom line, keeping money for services or supplies not received is wrong at any level.
