Tater,
TAG was playing KC Thunder this morning for 2nd with Indy Legends waiting for the winner. Worst they could do was finish 3rd.
Congrats to them where ever they finish and I agree a Great Bunch of Brothers.

Pittsburgh Hard Hats:
We had two great players Big Tom Miller from Ford City and Foxy Nelson from Apollo.
These two could crush it with the best and used to hit them regularly out Three Rivers Stadium. I think Delmastro pitched and I can't remember the rest, You know senior moment!!!!!!!!!

taits,

Go to Kelley's, Down to Earth , Hocks and several others, most do have the minimum advertised price of $299 but have call for best price or make an offer. Some are close to two for the price of one and are the new 2013 models. Look at the old models and some are excellent bats selling for less than $100. Make great bats for BP if you don't want to use your Senior bat.

HJ,
A top quality USSSA bat well broken in is hardly any different than the Senior bats. Notice I said top quality and well broken in not modified/shaved or rolled. The ASA bats are not as good but again a top quality ASA bat well broken in is short on overall distance. Also it depends on who is hitting them, guys that cut the ball can hit with broomsticks and still get good results, while the rest either power the ball or let the bat do the work. In Senior bats it is mostly letting the bat do the work along with proper mechanics!!!!!!

Also if you think we break a lot of bats the kids just destroy them. Of the bats I sell to the kids very few ever make the one year warranty, some because they do a lot of BP and some because the whole team uses them. Just like the Senior bats they are not made for a whole team to use but they do on an average get more swings than the senior bats. They also have premature failures as I had them returned broken with 3 swings and the handle completely severed.
Overall a good USSSA bat is not broken very often by Seniors with the exception of some the big mashers in the 50/55 age groups.

I fnd it quite interesting since I deal in both senior and all other bats. The price of the senior bats are right around $200 in most cases with no warranty and not much durability.
The price of all the other bats has dropped to mostly around $200 with many under $200 and have a full year warranty. Just go on any of the websites and check prices.
Marketing isn't it amazing?????????
The Bat companys know who has the money and are willing to spend it!!!!!!!!!!

TooooooWaaaaaaa,
His issues are all his own and we are tired of reading the same old BS.
In fact most of us that do play just bypass his comments and go on to something that really means more than his BS!!!!!!!!

Discussion: Celebrity and Legends All-star game

Did anybody watch the game last night after the HR contest.
Two of the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team participated in the game with Matt Kinsey playing for the National League and Saul Bosquez playing for the American.
I had the privilege and honor to play against and with the entire team just a month ago and yes it was an honor, these guys are amazing. Matt did win the MVP with a great game. The entire team is just as good as they beat a local senior All-star team and a military team while losing by one run to a police/firemen's team on a freak play on an overthrow.
If they come to you area be sure not to miss them and if you are asked to play against them it will be the most inspiration games of your life.
God Bless all our Military,

Discussion: Reebok Melee

Just broke my first Reebok Melee with around 1900+ swings.
I got it in the 1st batch that came out and used it all last year and up to now. Sounded different in tourney on Friday but still hit well but then proceeded with small crack about halfway around barrell.
Broke out a new one Saturday and it hit well right out of wrapper but needs some breaking in to get to the same level as the one with all the swings.
I have three original Mikens with ASA stamps and it outhits all of them.

Again more useless comments from Gary19.
He just has to wave his hand and talk even if nobody is talking or listening to him.
I'm sure he doesn't understand the Triple Grand Slam and what it represents and how difficult it is to accomplish.

Discussion: Jimmy Clark Memorial Tournement

Sorry I missed the tournament but our team went to Maryville instead. If I had been there I'm sure that I would have seen all my good friends and we would have talked about all the good times and good games that we had with Jimmy. I would have done my best to say a prayer for and about Jimmy that would bring those tears to the eyes of all of us grown men. It was an honor to be asked to say that prayer 3 years ago and hope to repeat some time in the future.

Rest in Peace Jimmy

Leftyfalcon,

Surely you are not going to claim those bleeders you mis-hit as keeping you hitting the right distance!!!!!!!!
Most 10 year old girls hit it farther and harder than that!!!!!!!!!!
It was fun though getting to hit some.

I statred at 64 1/2 due to still having earned income. When I did start I changed from February to January and it was decreased by $14. After some minor calculating I would break even after 148 months, over 12 years, I chose to start in January and hope I live long enough to experience the loss.
