I still would like to see this unhitable pitcher because I don't believe it. Yea maybe for a game or even two but consistently no way. Every dog has his day and back in 88 I threw a perfect game NO/NO and the next day in a tourney I had 23 scored off me in the 1st inning. No that will bring you off a high real quick!!!!!!!!!!! |

WWAST If it is they are a great bunch of proud soldiers and great American heroes. I had the privledge of playing against and then the honor of playing with them last June. I can tell you now bring everybody you can to watch as it is almost unbelieveable and after the 1st inning all the fans will be rooting for them and they well deserve it. There motto goes "Life is Limitless without a Limb" and they go out on the field and prove it. Remember it's not about beating them it allowing them to show how they can play the game. If you could have seen the turnout last night for the viewing it was very obvious what a great man Jay was. The viewing was set for two hours and I was there early and took over an hour to get thru, I'll bet it wasn't even over in 4 hours. A tribuite to a great man not just softball player and sponsor, but a husband, son in law, father, brother, uncle, family man, worshipper of God, and community active. Jay may you RIP my brother. John Jay was about 5'9" with average build, salt and pepper hair and extremely bow-legged, walked with limp and usually played 2nd or 3rd and had played in the middle in 65's. Also an extremely good hitter average and power wise. One could not ask to find a nicer more level headed man. The heavier one you are thinking of is probably POP Spain. It is with great sadness and heartbreak that I report the passing of JW(Jay) Jones the Sponsor and player for Huffman Electric. He was entering his grandsons high school football game when he suffered a massive heart attack and was unable to be revived. Jay was one of the true ambassadors of Senior Sotball and has been sponsoring teams and playing since Senior Softball was started. Everyone knew Jay by his limp even after knee replacement he kept playing and was truly a great hitter and fielder. Above that Jay was just truly one of best individuals that I have ever met and I had the priveledge of playing for him. Jay was always upbeat and took his lumps along with the wins and while doing so as a gentlemen. He was very proud of all his family and they always came first. He will be sorely missed by the Softball Community along with all his family and friends in the Birmingham area. Please pray for his family during there time of grieving. RIP my friend and now you and Nick are back in the lineup together. The Hitman #13 |

There were many divorices that happened over the late nights there. I got asked one night why I came home half drunk and I replied I ran out of money and that's when the fight started!!!!!!!!1 The Hitman #13 |

These two could crush it with the best and used to hit them regularly out Three Rivers Stadium. I think Delmastro pitched and I can't remember the rest, You know senior moment!!!!!!!!! Some are close to two for the price of one and are the new 2013 models. Look at the old models and some are excellent bats selling for less than $100. Make great bats for BP if you don't want to use your Senior bat. The Hitman |

Notice I said top quality and well broken in not modified/shaved or rolled. The ASA bats are not as good but again a top quality ASA bat well broken in is short on overall distance. Also it depends on who is hitting them, guys that cut the ball can hit with broomsticks and still get good results, while the rest either power the ball or let the bat do the work. In Senior bats it is mostly letting the bat do the work along with proper mechanics!!!!!! Also if you think we break a lot of bats the kids just destroy them. Of the bats I sell to the kids very few ever make the one year warranty, some because they do a lot of BP and some because the whole team uses them. Just like the Senior bats they are not made for a whole team to use but they do on an average get more swings than the senior bats. They also have premature failures as I had them returned broken with 3 swings and the handle completely severed. Overall a good USSSA bat is not broken very often by Seniors with the exception of some the big mashers in the 50/55 age groups. The Hitman |

The price of the senior bats are right around $200 in most cases with no warranty and not much durability. The price of all the other bats has dropped to mostly around $200 with many under $200 and have a full year warranty. Just go on any of the websites and check prices. Marketing isn't it amazing????????? The Bat companys know who has the money and are willing to spend it!!!!!!!!!! The Hitman |
