Jack, Are you coming to Mesquite/St.George? We will also be in Vegas and Reno this spring. This could be a special season for us and would love you to document some of it. We won the winter worlds in Phoenix and didn't have 1 picture to show for it.

Not played in the Spring Worlds before. How are the fields and the weather in Mesquite/St. George?

Discussion: Miken White vs. Big Cat

Haven't hit the Dudley, so I can't comment on that bat. However, I have the other two Mikens. My white 2 piece is from 2013. One of the earlier releases. It was a log for a very long time. It finally broke in after a couple of months and probably 500 swings. I have a little power, so that wasn't the problem.I bought a Big Cat last year in June and it broke in a much quicker. I have not used the white 2 piece since. There is a noticeable difference in end load weight, but you have to compare them side by side to notice. I too swing a 27oz in both models. I really like the Big Cat. It seems to fit my swing a little better than anything else.

Any board members hit with this yet? Not the prototype, but the actual 2015 "on the street" model. If so, how does it compare with what you swing?

So tatooball, are you suggesting that the 1 way to do this has not been figured out? If so, please share with us what that procedure is.

Not for Christmas. Had some fried when I was in New Orleans many years ago. Tasted real good.

Discussion: Thanks for the info

I purchased a pair of 3n2 turf high tops in 2012.Although they worked pretty well, had a little trouble with my feet again during that time, and went back to Tanels. Purchased a new pair of lite low cut Tanels in Reno, and have been very satisfied. This would be my 3rd pair of Tanels, and I am sticking with them at this point. If you do decide on the 3n2s, they run really small. At least a half size, and more like a full size on some models.

Discussion: BATS COMPARE

LP, I felt the same way for a long period of time. I beat the hell out of the white for quite a while. It finally came around, but it took far longer than most players will tolerate. My understanding is the next batch of whites broke in a bit easier. I bought mine in June of 2013, shortly after they came out.

If you like an endload, I would definitely try the Big Cat. I really could not tell the difference between the white 2 piece and the Big Cat until I swung them side by side. The 1/2 oz. extra was then noticeable. My white took forever to break in, and I have a little power. The Big Cat, not as long. I didn't change weights between all 3. Hope this helps.

Discussion: BATS COMPARE

I have all three. Still have the red from 2 years ago. Bought the white in 2013 and the Big Cat this year. The red I do not use as much these days, as well as the white. I think the Big Cat fits my swing a little better, and with the 1oz endload seems to pop the ball a little farther than the other 2. All are very good bats. It just depends on preference.

Discussion: Best bat for a line drive hitter

I really don't think there are certain bats for "line drives" or "home runs". The difference between a line drive and a home run, or a ground ball for that matter, does not have much to do with a certain bat. It is where the bat contacts the ball. Most of the senior bats are fairly close as far as their exit speeds are concerned. It really comes down to feel and how a particular bat would fit your swing. It just really has to do with experimentation. Find something you can get consistent with and stay with it.

Discussion: RENEW ONLINE

I talked with someone from the home office last week about this topic. He said you cannot renew for 2015 until after the worlds are completed in Vegas. He said to try again around the 3rd week of October. He went on to state that if for some reason you cannot renew after that date, you would still be able to play in, let's say Phoenix, with your 2014 card and identification. Provided you are on the teams roster. Hope this helps.

Discussion: Why do you swing an End loaded bat?

All other things being equal, bat speed, etc, The end load will give you greater exit ball speed. Therefore, better speed through the infield and greater distance. Other than the physics here, it is a matter of feel and confidence in what you swing.

Discussion: shoulder injury

You probably need to get a diagnosis through an MRI or Cat scan. Unless you know exactly what you are dealing with, it's hard to treat. I separated my shoulder 3 years ago, and I haven't quite been the same since. Between a 2nd and 3rd degree separation. Could have been much worse. Running between 1st and 2nd on a double play. Ball thrown to first hit me in the neck, knocking me completely out. When I hit the ground, it separated my left shoulder. Had a Cat scan with die for the neck, regular Cat scan for the shoulder. Shoulder injuries are tricky. Best to get a very good Ortho doc to look at this.

This is great info. I have been having problems with this the past few years. My consistency at the plate has been all over the road. Perhaps this is the reason. We'll see if this helps.
