A little birdie told me....

"ALL repeat ALL composite bats

and ALL repeat ALL high end aluminum bats,

no matter the make or model,

senior version or not, are prone to break when

used at temperatures below 60 degrees!"

Yes those are great bats until the end cap pops up!

I glued it down but not long after the bat cracked.

Too bad Combat hasn't figured out a way to keep to end caps from coming up or off. If they ever solve that problem then they will have made the perfect senior bat with both great performance and above average durability.

Discussion: SLIDING!!

Most won't slide because they don't want to hurt their legs.
The infields at most of the fields in Las Vegas use a type of sand that will instantly turn your legs into hamburger meat. I have seen guys scrape their knees by just getting down on one knee just to stop a ball.
If you were to take a piece sticky paper and press the sticky side into the ground and pick it up. Congratulations, you will have just made yourself a piece of coarse sandpaper. It won't matter if your wearing long pants or not. Those type of scrapes take a very long time to heal. Been there, done that! I would rather take the chance of being called out than to slide with no guarantee that I would be safe. Most teams hate to lose players for games due to unnecessary injury's. Most managers would rather sacrifice the out over a lost player with bleeding knees.

Earlier on this thread you didn't, couldn't or wouldn't reveal where the GSC Bat factory was, because of some disclosure. Now you claim is that the factory is in South Carolina, placing you there by your own words.

So why are telling us where the factory is at this time when you didn't do that before? Why the change?

AndyC

Buying into the the company's name (which some believe is blasphemy) is simply "judging a book by it's cover".

But if you must....
Place your order...GOOD LUCK!

You'll need it!

PS: Keep us posted and updated on your bat order and bat delivery.

So Private d5

I have read your posts on this subject and I have noticed you have not offered Slow any useful information about hitting.

What do you suggest to Slow? Closed or Open?

I'm still waiting for surf88 to tell us something about the prototype bat he had in his hands while he was at the GSC bat factory.

surf88, can you tell us what weight the bat was?

Since you sell Reebok bats, I would think you would have a pretty good idea of the weight.

Did the bat feel like the Reebok end load or balanced?

How would you compare it to the Reebok in feel?

Did the prototype have the same dimensions as the Reebok?

I can't figure out how GSC could make a "solid core" bat that has the same dimensions as the Reebok, and still be the same weight as a "hollow" Reebok.

surf, with all your bat knowledge and having actually handled the bat, you can shed some light on the above questions.

I was wondering if anybody could physically go in and see if it's only a PO Box or what ever.

Why are you the only one that knows where the factory is?

You mean you can't even tell us in what Country or State these bats are being made?

You claim...
"I recently visited the factory and held a prototype of their bat in my hands."

So...
Where is the factory?
Tell us something more about the prototype!
