The two piece bat against the one piece.

Should the Combat White Centenarian be thrown into this mix?

Which is the overall winner between these beasts?

Let your opinions and votes begin.

HOW DO YOU RATE THESE BATS?

AND THE WINNER IS??????

And I thought it was because of taking too many drugs back in the 60's!

Can't remember....

Have to go take a nap and think about it....

A Stiffer Handle?

I was under the impression that handle flex is desirable?

Isn't flex the reason for standing on the handle?

Can anybody explain?

Thank you!

Discussion: How much difference does an ounce make?

If follow through makes no difference then why does Tiger Woods or any golfer end up with his golf club high over his shoulder when he is hitting the golf ball only several inches in front of his toes?

I just got the Ambush bat.
For some reason the bat felt heavier that the 27 oz. FL. that it is supposed to be.

So I weighed the bat on a post office scale.
The bat is still in the original wrapper and weighs 28.6 oz.
I would think this is out of tolerance for a bat that's labeled 27 oz.

Has anybody else noticed or is this just a mislabeled bat?

Discussion: Is it too much to expect ice water in the dugout?

Only a fool would go out to play softball in 100+ degree heat of the southwest desert and not bring water and/or expect others to do it for them.

You are supposed to take water with you when you go on any trip in the desert.

Have you never heard of a car breaking down in the middle of desert and the occupants dying within hours due to lack of water?

Take water and quit relying on others.

Your life may depend on it!

bkb555

If what your describing is true.

Perhaps that particular bat you have is a freak of the batch.

Or,if there are many numerous reports of such out of the ordinary performance from that make and model bat, than don't be surprised if that bat gets retested.

And possibly like the Titanium and original Ultra, it could get banned.

TIME WILL TELL!

Discussion: Player Ratings

How many tournaments does a player play with a team to get rated at the next higher level?

If a AAA player plays with a Major team for a tournament because the Major team was short on available team players. Will the AAA player get a higher rating if the team wins the tourney?

Question:

Other than a nice paint job, what makes the Ambush different than the other Combats?

As I stated previously:

Truth is there is no "PERFECT" stance.

It's up to each individual to figure out what is "comfortable" and "works" for them.

Olden Slow

So you want to talk slow pitch softball players?

OK

Does Carl Rose, Brett Helmer, Denny Crine and Mike Machenco all use the same batting stance?

Truth is there is no "PERFECT" stance.

It's up to each individual to figure out what is "comfortable" and "works" for them.

Pete Rose, Babe Ruth, Ted Williams all were great hitters using completely different stances. What works for Kevin Youkilis or Jeff Bagwell most likely will not work for anybody else.

The stance is only a "starting point".
