It is irrelevant what level you and einstein play you still represent a very small fraction of the Seniors players that play the game at all levels.

The players that actual post are mainly interested in the organization and the ramblings of 3 posters who end up in all threads somehow.

At least #19 keeps his short.

zatta: your right. that is what I have been saying. In fact I think that the biggest complainers on this board probably don't represent .001 percent of the Senior players in this organization.

Maybe they should form their own org as it seems that they think that they are to good for this one.

By the threads posted I am beginning to think that eistien and Hi-Jacker are the same person or they are in competition to see who can right the longest reply and say nothing of any importance.

I use the Trump AK-SS-375 that I get direct from SSUSA. They are the same as the ones we use in tournaments and you help out our organization at the same time.

The Anderson Pryotech is a pretty nice bat. The one thing I didn't like about it was the very small knob.

Discussion: Breaking in a glove

I have used the "Hot Glove" application in the oven for years and it works great. When I bought it for my new glove it took me a few days to get up the nerve to put my new glove into the oven but when I did it came out nice an soft and read to use. I think it took me 3 applications to get it where I wanted it.

The only thing I am saying is stop using (Hr Rule, etc) for excuses for hitting at the pitcher. I am a middle of the field hitter with line drives into the open area of the middle of the field (especially when there is no middle fielder). There is plenty of open space out there. I realize there are times when you hit back at the pitcher by accident. I had one of those games in Vegas. For some reason my timing was off and I hit 3 straight back at the pitcher.

Yes hitting it back at the pitcher on purpose is a cheap hit.

It gets very tiresome to keep hearing these lame excuses for hitting back through the pitcher. If you have to hit it back through the pitcher to get a cheap hit then maybe it is time to learn how to hit.

The blue one is the SB81. I haven't seen any good reports on it that I know of.

If the Voltage is as good as a lot of players claim then you know it is going to get banned 01/01/09.
I doubt that it is good as an U2 or it would have banned by now same as the Lady Virus was.

If you go to Softballfans.com they usually have a few for sale every once in a while. I doubt though if you will find a NIW very easily outside of maybe EBay.

Well respected bat in single wall leagues and leagues where you can't use composites.

Discussion: Greenish-Yellow balls

I have that problem with White or Yellow against a dark green back ground. But for me it is because I am color blind.

When playing outfield against a dark green tree background I can't pick up the ball till it gets above the trees. Pitching I don't seem to have that problem of picking up the ball, just getting my feet to move.

My favorite is from Bruce Lee:

"Stop comparing yourself at (your age) to the man you were at twenty or thirty. You must learn to live in the present and accept yourself for what you are now. What you lack in flexibility and agility you must make up with knowledge and constant practice."

OK straight facts. White Steel has a steel barrel with a composite handle. The Raw Steel has a steel barrel with a steel handle. The reason for the Raw Steel if I understand it right was a lot of single wall leagues banned the White steel because of the Composite handle.
They both have the same barrel but with different colors.

Discussion: Why have 11 on defense for 70+ teams?

I can appreciate the opinions from someone that has at least played with 11 fielders. I do agree it is a different game with the 11th fielder. Hitters have to be aware of where he is and the defensive team gets to vary their defense according to the batter and situation. For me it makes a more interesting game.

Your point 1 I think is the biggest objection to the 11th fielder.

You point 2 - is always an area of disagreement. Some like the middle fielder right behind 2nd and some like myself use him as a rover. IMO putting him behind the bag at 2nd waste him as a fielder. Also as you stated playing him at the 2nd base bag leads to confusion at times as to who is covering the bag which is another reason I like him to play out on the grass. It gets him out of the way.

Discussion: Why have 11 on defense for 70+ teams?

I don't believe it is to protect the pitcher that we have an 11th fielder in the 70 and up divisions.
Leave things the way the are. The 11th player up the middle or as a roamer makes for a better game. We can't cover the ground that 50-55 yr olds do.
All the leagues I play in 55+, use an 11th fielder and I don't hear any complaints. In fact the players on the tournament teams wish that they would use the 11th fielder in the tournaments in the younger divisions. I play in one league 50+ that uses 10 fielders and even at may age I have a field day hitting the middle of the field which is wide open.

I get a kick out all these players whose criticize the 11 men on the field who have never played it. I play both and the big difference between the to is by batting ave is 100 pts higher without the 11th fielder.
I have yet to hear an honest legitimate reason for not having the 11th fielder outside of the weak excuse it changes the game which has been changing for years with new equipment etc.
