| July 25, 2011 ffdonnie | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: crabtown tournament Oh jeez not another one. What do you want? Are you jealous you didn't get invited to the White House with the Giants? It's only softball, we play for the great fun of it. Or at least I do. |
| July 25, 2011 ffdonnie | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Todays game? Uh, Gary have you actually played against Joe? If you have, then you are just being a dick. If you haven't then you are just being a dick. So either way... |
| July 25, 2011 ffdonnie | Topic: Website comments Discussion: Hot bats Wow, are you guys serious? You really think a rolled bat is the same as a shaved bat? I can take my 800 - 1K hit physco and put up against someones 50 hit rolled and YOU will not be able to tell the difference. I don't roll mine because, unlike the younger ADD generation, I like BP. But I don't have my head buried in the sand either like some on here. Time to move on, hey you guys learned to use a computer, right? |
| July 25, 2011 ffdonnie | Topic: Website comments Discussion: homerun limits I'll agree with Joe on this, no limit is great. Plus it takes alot of heat off the pitcher. I play 50 AAA in SSUSA and there is too much middle action. Most of it is unintentional, but hey, crap happens. I really believe if SS went to this rule it would only be a plus. |
| July 24, 2011 ffdonnie | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Waivers Pricer I guess you are just referring to the pitchers waiver. But every league and utrip tourny I play in has you sign some sort of waiver, you probably do too. No big deal right? Like AI said it's an attempt to combat the lowest form of life, the lawyers. |
| June 17, 2011 ffdonnie | Topic: Bats Discussion: Reebok Senior Bat Let me be the first to say... good, your done. Now move back to Miken so we can read you whine about them for awhile. Geez dude, get over it. |
| June 17, 2011 ffdonnie | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Classification question Ha that one's easy, Joe answered it a while ago...Pay in full in advance. |
| June 6, 2011 ffdonnie | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: South Bend SPA Good to hear, thanks. |
| June 5, 2011 ffdonnie | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: South Bend SPA So is it just the South Bend tourny that's the problem, or all of SPA. There's one in Sparks in Sept. we are thinking of going to. Can anyone expand on this? Never played in SPA before. Thanks. |
| Feb. 19, 2011 ffdonnie | Topic: Bats Discussion: COMBAT BLUE I LOVE IT ronnie g, now that was a great comeback. Good for you, sir. |
| Jan. 13, 2011 ffdonnie | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: 40 core 375 balls Biggest piece of crap ball I've ever played with. Two tourneys last year, 75-80 degrees, not fun. I've never hit a 52-275, I'm interested to see if it is any better. Have my doubts but who knows. I got to see for myself. |
| Oct. 7, 2010 ffdonnie | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: SSWS in Palm Springs/Reebok Bat Hitt, if that was Merced then I was talking to him for a while. I didn't realize that bat had 700 hits on it, not bad. He hits hard and as the day went on he warmed up to it alot (sorry I didn't get his name). |
| Oct. 4, 2010 ffdonnie | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: SSWS in Palm Springs/Reebok Bat Joe did you see any GBA's out there? I saw one in Merced this weekend. Seemed like a good bat. U2 like? Not from what I saw, but a nice bat even though it had a crack (the owner said after 50 swings, and a replacement is in the mail) |
| June 9, 2010 ffdonnie | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Senior Softball is a Joke Senior softball is far from a joke. Like Joe said there are a few issues but that's it. Just got back from Carson City, finished fourth, hurt my arm, but wouldn't trade the experience for anything. Great times. The only thing that's a joke around here is you and your great English skills. Did you proof read your message before you sent it? Maybe try put down the bottle before typing. Garyheifnner if that's all you have to show your grand kids then your kind of pathetic. See it's easy to insult people sitting at a keyboard. Why is everything so negative on here? |
| June 1, 2010 ffdonnie | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Cheap awards given out in Reno Yeah does seam a little cheap; but we're not pros. From your description it sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. Any vacation to a place like this is going to cost $$. |
| May 29, 2010 ffdonnie | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Be very careful what you wish for Taits, a couple of years ago we were using 44\400 balls. Now we use 44\375, isn't that a compromise? A good one, but still a compromise. Please correct me if I'm wrong. |
| May 29, 2010 ffdonnie | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Individual awards for senior players Larry that's why ssusa gives them to the manager, so he (or the team)can decide on the criteria. All the teams I've played on have always gone on over-all performance. Giving to just the best hitter is weak. Dude why did you start a new thread? Didn't like the title? Or do you just like see your name at the top. |
| May 28, 2010 ffdonnie | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Individual Awards Paco13 said it very well. I enjoy challenging myself to play the best I can, and shoot for one of those patches. If I just wanted to drink beer and screw around I would just stay home playing league. For me, going to tournys playing with and against the best and maybe earning an All Tourny patch is what it's about. I like the way ssusa does it, leaving it up to the qualifying team to decide. If you have jealousy on your team then maybe a team meeting is in order. This only leads to much bigger issues, been there done that. |
| May 28, 2010 ffdonnie | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Be very careful what you wish for Joe care to comment? Woohahahah. Seriously, played a tourny earlier this year with the 40 cor ball and it absolutely sucked. DCPete is correct, be very careful what you wish for. |
| May 25, 2010 ffdonnie | Topic: Product review Discussion: What's a Good Outfielder's Glove? Actually the Heart of the Hide model breaks in faster, a little nicer leather. |
