REEBOK BARRAGE vs MIKEN ULTRA 2PIECE MAXLOAD

I just broke my Combat and I'm interested in replacing it with either the Barrage or Maxload. Any info on these two bats would be helpful in my making a decision on which to purchase.

Thanks

the reebok barrage is for real...i just got one and hit it yesterday and liked it as did the 2 other guys i let swing it as we put the first swings on it sunday....we were using old ASA 52-300 balls also and balls were flying pretty good with it...just can't wait to hit the senior 44-375(the old ASA spec ball)....

maxloads seem to break to easy in my opinion....

The Barrage is hot out of the wrapper, but mine broke in 30-40 swings. I sent it back to Reebok R&D, for them to check it out. The said that they will replace it for me. That's all that I can ask.
The 2 piece Miken max-load takes time to break in, mine still isn't as hot as the Reebok Barrage, but it hasn't broken yet either...
The Balanced 2piece Miken break in quicker, but still aren't as hot as the Barrage......

Better wait on the Barrage. Mine broke in 35 swings, and my team mates lasted 40 swings. I can't even say it was hot out of the wrapper, I was only taking 50% swings.
Alan had me ship it back to Reebok and he says they will replace it, but you might want to wait to see what we say about the replacement. Sorry Alan this is probably not what you want to hear but I'm just being honest. I haven't heard anything yet (except this thread) but it has only been a week.
If you remember the Melee had first batch issues also. It's still the hottest bat out there.
Don.

When Reebok bats break, where do you send them?
Is there a Reebok e-mail or phone number?

If you have it, please post it as I may need it.

Thanks

Guys, As others have shared, the Barrage is a hot bat. I let players use one in Vegas and in St. George. I have all weights in stock. It is true that a very few have broken but that is out of hundreds of bat sales made. Those of you in need, contact me or Alan and we can give you the pertinent information to send in a broken bat.

If I can help you for your Christmas needs, please give me the opportunity to help.

Hey Bruce, Would love to attend Curt's camp this year. Will fly back to Colorado on Dec 4th, then fly back to FLA Christmas Eve. Maybe that $$$ you left for me in Cherokee will help us get back in February. LOL

Shelby, Maybe I can make it. How long is the drive from Ocala? Still a little wore out from 6 days of driving in winter storm conditions. Shipping Melee's and Barrage's out in the AM as well. Let me know.
Thanks,
Ed

I had a lot of fun playing ball with the Senior Moments boys in Orlando. Thanks to Shelby Simmons for inviting me to play on Friday. Hope to do it again down the road.

Back to the topic of playing ball, I will be flying to Tampa on 12/24 and will be in Ocala area for a few days. I have my gear there and would like to do some BP if possible somewhere or play a game or two or three.

Also have Melee and Barrage bats there and will help you if you need one.

Today will be interesting. Driving to Durango, Colorado over a snow packed mountain pass. Temp right now (6:30AM) is 15 degrees. Navigate thru airports on Christmas Eve and land in Tampa at 8PM this evening. Drive north on I-75 to Ocala.

Have my gear and will play some ball if there are pickup games going on this week. Have Melee's and Barrage's with me. If you need them, give me a call.
Merry Christmas All!!!

Nothing. Reebok won't send out replacements to Dean and I until they produce another batch, or some BS like that. It's the last dime I spend on any Reebok product. I bought it because the salesman swore that it would be more durable then the Melee. So they took my money, gave me junk from China and as a bonus, shitty customer service.
Like I said earlier don't buy this bat.
Merry Christmas everyone.

I spent Christmas in Ocala. What a great change from winter snows to green grass. Love it. Anybody dong any BP or playing any ball this week in north Florida? Have some gear and will play a little ball if the opportunity exists.

Hi surf 88-There is open practice on all fields in the Villages. There are 8 fields available. 4 at Buffalo Glen and 4 at Saddlebrook complex. Players start arriving early, around 7:45 and it goes on all day. The Villages is about 20 minutes south of Ocala, and Buffalo Glen complex is on 466 about 2 miles east of 301, directly across from Fresh Market.

If you are around Pensacola this week we get together on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at Exchange Park on Lakeview Ave,

BP is from 9-10am and then we play a nine inning pickup game. Weather looks to be cool, 50-60 degrees, but sunny

Hey Donnie, Tri18 (Alan) was a big help getting my barrage replaced. Got it last week, it's not as hot as the one I broke in 25 swings, but it is hotter than the 2 piece Ultra's that I have.

A Big Thank You Tri18

Rich I will thanks, and Happy New Year be safe.

To Mark, I heard you got yours already. I was hoping for the same but I guess I have to be patient. (I'm not real good at patient, oh well)
And this info was from Alan.

Just felt like I should wade in here and share that I also have been helping senior ball players with their needs and assist many with problem solutions for nearly 4 years. I also have been playing senior ball and senior tournaments since 1999. There are numerous senior players who need and get assistance that do not get on this board with follow up news as to who helped them.

I feel there is more than one good individual providing quality customer service and genuine assistance to those who are in need.
Thanks,
EA
