Discussion: MASKS

Leftie,
Thanks for the info. Wore a mask
for the first time this weekend. I bought a Wilson batting helmet w/ a cage that works fine. I also have the
Worth helmet, but it does not have
a bill on the front to shield the
sun. I had no problems seeing or tracking the ball. Pitchers should
consider headgear. Are you going to Reno? Bought the helmet after your
response,like to say thanks.I'll
look into the heartguard.

Eric,
Thanks again for the tourney. Your
team is all class. Thanks for all the help Anna has been to our team mom on reservations, travel etc.
We're hoping to copy what you and
the Outlaw's have done here in SoCal.
I like the one day tourney idea. Good
to see Mustangs,Magic Sport,TG 50 and
So Cal55, class teams all, good sports,
and great competition.

Try looking at at bike shops. I have
transitions(changes with the light conditions)called Cat1,I bought at
Perfomance Bike for $44(on sale from
$60)that work very well. Vented at the
top to prevent fogging. Also comes with
an amber lens for low light, but haven't had to use them.

RDA,thanks for listing the results for
Oxnard. Wish more people would do the same for local tourneys.
Mike and P, playing the DoublePlay
tourney in Riverside on the 18th,one
day. Escondido,Reno-after that I'm not sure,but we're looking a SPA if they
can pull off the June touney in PS.
That's quite a field you have at
LVSSA. Good luck to both of you.
See you Thursday night. John

Sports Fan,
Come out to Fountain Valley on Thursday nights. You might be able to hook up with a team. Fields are all
the way in the back of the complex.
Games start at 6:30,run to 9. Mostly
tournament players,good competition.
You also might find a tourney team
that needs players. Good place to
show your stuff. Good luck.

TG,
Can you have Nate talk to Escondido
about the condition of the infields at
KC? They were terrible last month.
Thanks.

Discussion: I have a simple question for those who have pitched.

No,but I have shin guards/pads and a
helmet if I need it. I assume every
hitter is coming back at me. It's also
a the most fun on the field. That's
what the game's about,fun,friends
and a cold drink afterwards.

Joe,
When are you coming down to SoCal
to play? You got to get out on the
campaign trail. May not change things this year, but who knows? There's too
much fun to let go to waste.

SB- Got the helmet.Thanks.

Mike and Mike,
There can't be three senior players
in RSM. Pork, I pitched against you guys two weeks ago in Anny. I'll
look for you next time out there.
By the way, bought a pitchers helmet
yesterday for great hitting teams
like yours. Maybe unnecessary,head
in the sand equipment, but I'm an
old man,looking for any protection
I can get.
