Discussion: Miken's defective bats

I always put 50-100 breakin practice hits on a new bat,it is then a game only bat for which I then hope to get at least another 100 hits which would be for me an average of 5 at bats per game-so 20 games of use at least. My last 2 new ultra's-1 red and 1 black cracked very quickly. The red after 150swings and the black after approx. 80swings. I know miken can and should make a better bat even if it would have alittle less pop. I have a combat that I haven't broken in yet and when my reebok breaks I will switch to it.

I have owned approx. 10 u2's and now 1 reebok and I must say for me the reebok has been all around the best. I will try the new core when it comes out,but for now I'll buy no new mikens.

Most mikens I've had lasted 200+ swings,my last new one purchased was a bal.28oz and it lasted approx.60-80 hits and thats not ok with me, miken needs better quality control or they will loose alot of customers.

A133 and 4x4 all you said is exactly right-mad dog tell us again about the great 52ball and how you are such agreat hitter we haven't heard it but 100 times already, and how anyone that doesn't like it can't hit. You are a little man with a big mouth that sees things one way-your way. Now go ahead and attack, I'll be ok.

mad dog, I think I can hit as good as most players, but I can't complain as well as some on here who have their on agenda and you know what I mean. I try to give an opinion and you attack saying I can't hit-I'm done with you-not worth it!

Mad dog,I believe the 52ball speed when hit would be much slower and most balls hit in the gap would be caught, the whole game would be to slow and boring. Everyone's average would possibly drop 100-200pts and weaker hitters would suffer the most.I also think you over estimate the number of injuries from the good bats and balls and I think a wide majority like the game as is-so I hope the minority do not get their way by complaining all the time.

I play left field and the junk bats and balls would make my playing much easier, but I like to have fun-should I say more fun- so I say keep the good bat and balls. Why mess with a good thing? You can get hurt driving to the field, probably more likely to.

Discussion: What is Senior Softball to you?

Love of game and making new friends and seeing old friends does it for me.It also keeps me in shape and I have always loved the sport.
I moved to Saddlebrooke in Az. in Dec. and thru softball here have met and made more friends than I have in the past 10 years. Saddlebrooke is a great place to retire and we have so many activities for everyone and we have great sports facilities.

Gary I wish they would ban all special bats so you would be happy or make an extra special special bat just for you and then youd be happy and peaceful.

Discussion: pitching screen

Some on this site want to change bats or balls, I like the good stuf, but pitchers are very close to the hitters and maybe need protection. If they change balls I will still play and have fun. Until then I have decided to join the silent majority.

Maybe when a few complain about bats and balls used and about pitcher safety so they can get their agenda.
