Nancy,is there any way this tournament could be moved to a week later.I know of at least 4 teams here in Louisville that would have played this year but have a problem getting enough players for 1st weekend in May due to the Derby. It hurts not being able to play in Indy becase its so close & always a great touney . THANKS

Sounds like this could be a good early tournament, great location. Our team is from Louisville,Ky and usually go to Indy on 1st weekend of May.We play without 2 or 3 players due to Ky Derby so this weekend would be better for us..We are a 55 Major team and setting up our schedule for the year & would like to know what teams are planning on going to Music City for this event THANKS

Discussion: Ring tournaments--7 innings--1&1 count

I am against the 1-1 count and agree with Bossbandit on how to speed up the game. The main reason for getting behine in tournament play is both teams are ready to play & stand around for 10 or 15 min's waiting for ump's even on first game of day.I have see game's last longer with 1-1 on windy day beacuse there's so many walks and us seniors will not swing at anything like the young guys will.

Discussion: 1 & 1 count

I am against the 1-1 count the main reason is the difference in the arch limit very's by each umpire sometime's as much as 2 feet+.In most worlds games are scheduled every hour & 15 min's sometime hour half. I can remenber a lot of game's were both teams are ready to play but no umpire's,they will take 10 to 15 min break in between games this comes from doing to many game's in a day

Discussion: Vote on Changing SSWC Format!!!!!!!!

I agree that 3 seeding games are all we need, but as far as playing the double eliminatin in 50-55 & maybe 60's aaa & aa for some world tournament's like sswc-spa or lvssa who have 15 to 30 team a 4th day would be needed. Also I have no problem with nite games as long as fields have VERY GOOD LIGHTING

Discussion: Platooning. Yes or No

No! our 55 aaa team looks for players who can hit & play defence that's the way it's been for year's why are we always trying to change the game?Hey is you have a great defence player but he a weak hitter he bat's in the bottom of order same as major league baseball or little league. There is always great hitter's that are not able to play defence a lot time its not their fault bad knee or knee's , torn rotator etc.

Discussion: Players need to rate tournaments....

I would rate the Midwest Nationals this past weekend a 41/2 the only problem was we had one nite game & lights were real bad on the field we played on.I belive it was field 2 on the back complex, lights seem good on main complex, overall real good tournaments hope for more teams next year.Speaking of NSA how many 55 AAA teams out there are going to world in Rock Hill SC July 27-30?
