E4/E6 why you got to go there with 40's and 50's comment. Luckily you don't have a say.

5tools I do believe I meant Dan Gilbert. Gary I doubt you can top the owners of the Cavs.

5tools would Gary be more of an embarrassment to the NE Ohio area than say Dennis Gilbert?

Jawood roster wise major and major plus are light years apart forget talent but according to what is being proposed you can add two guys from west of the Miss River a major team can't what if you had to make your team roster look like a major roster? If you did away with the STUPID roster rules I doubt anyone would bitch otherwise major plus has a big advantage. Think about this logically you want your cake and eat it to. Can't have it both ways. SSUSA should combine the divisions and take some major roster rules and some major plus roster rules and be done with it. What if the major plus had to qualify a player before adding anyone and let major teams have two players along the dividing line? Blur the roster lines a bit for both divisions.

Gary if you haven't played in Vegas or live here not sure how you can intelligently comment on the state of our facilities. The BLD is far superior to anything else in town. Due to municipal budget cuts some of the other fields are dreadful. Your thoughts on the state of senior ball make sense because softball is softball where ever played. Commenting on local conditions not so much. It would be like me commenting on Northern Ohio facilities and the state of your local budgets its folly on my part. The BLD facility is well maintained with very nice areas for families. My wife loves watching games there and won't watch anywhere else we play.

Gary you should open your own complex then not condescending comment either. There is plenty of land here in Vegas good luck with the financing on a softball park though. They are not offering an either or scenario. They are charging it people are paying it they must think it is worth it. Your comment on PT Barnum I don't think applies with these facilities, they are a vast step above what we have in town, they are great family places, I have been in the one here in Vegas on an off nite and there are alot of non softball related activities taking place. Pick a better fight if you saw these facilities it would make more sense. It's like any else they could bury the fee or be transparent about it personally I prefer the latter.

Gary the important thing is it is their park not yours, not mine not the taxpayers, privately funded facility. I live in Vegas, it is not that big a deal. The BLD facility beats all of the other facilities we have here by a mile. Anybody on here remember the old Freedom park facilities that is where this one stands. You live in Cleveland I'm sure your tax payer funded pro facilities do bag searches, limit food brought in etc. Why don't you start with your publicly funded facilities and let private facilities run their facilities how they deem fit. If the customers don't come so be it.

Discussion: 50 Major+ Worlds...OKI

Hi Stick my understanding is you add players below the major plus you either have to qualify or under certain circumstances where the roster goes below 12 add the next age group and lower class. My team for example 50 major we would have been allowed to add 55AAA or spend the money and qualify a new roster. We also could have opted to play major plus. I have mixed feelings on declaring a team major plus without going through the learning curve so to speak. Major plus is a big step, based on what I've seen the jump from Major to Major plus is bigger than AAA to major. I'm sure others will disagree but I can only go by what my eyes tell me.

Curveball played with Southwest Legends. Too bad the tournament didn't end on Friday for us we played well. Saturday we took a dump. That's softball. If I play next year will be 55 team in Vegas Sin City. Did my 50 time. If you were on the tables I'm sure we spoke. If you do the local stuff in Mesquite i'll say hi. By chance do you play with Russ Curtis.

Curveball I wish I knew who you were I played up at Shadow. Damn would have loved to have introduced myself. I'm with you on the Major plus. That was a tough bracket the 50 major plus. Demolition looked awesome I got to watch them play and Geno has done a tremendous job with that team. Some old teammates of mine play for them Babbs and Danny Hess. We had 11 teams in the major division there and really there was quite a talent difference from what I saw from major to major plus. No offense to the major teams who competed but that major plus bracket was tough.

Stick missed seeing you in Vegas tried a couple of times just didn't see you. Stick keep in mind when you want to combine Major and Major plus. Major plus does not have to qualify players at all and for SPA and LVSSA you get two players not bordering states. Big advantage. I can tell you we aren't going to Phoenix this year because we could not field a team (we couldn't add two players unless we went to a qualifier) because we could not afford to go to a late season qualifier. Economy is not allowing several of our players to travel. We had the players lined up and they were major we just could not add them unless we took on the added expense of an additional tournament. I do not believe Major plus has to go through this.

Staff quick question can we count on the late March Mesquite tournament the Spring Worlds or is the LVSSA event in April taking it's place. Totally selfish point of view but the more I can play within a 60 mile radius of Las Vegas the better.

Nutmeg I have had Ultra II break after 5 swings I think you are going to here story after story about this. If you buy a senior bat that is the price you pay for the extra performance. Bats specifically designed for seniors do not carry a warranty. Somebody should have directed you to a USSSA style bat with a warranty there are numerous ones you could buy for around $150.00 that give you a full warranty. I know you may not want to hear this but you may have to consider this a lesson learned. Good luck get yourself a bat with a 12 month warranty.

Mario were you on OKI two years ago we played two games against them in Phoenix in 2009. Fun team to play against. I see you guys have Stick had some good games against his old Gekle team. Good luck in Vegas if you haven't played the X-rock is a wild ball. I'm going to guess you guys will toss a couple of 60 run games out or your 5 or 6. The problem that I ran into with unlimited balls over the fence is that very few teams really want to play that style.

Bob I think you missed my point, I was offering up the contrast that LVSSA offers yet for all the chatter about HR's are outs, it's offered up yet the turnout pales in comparison to SSUSA. Bob help me out here doesn't Huntsman also offer up unlimited balls over the fence? Although the numbers are high it seems from the time I played in it very few of the traveling teams attend this one either.
