The Milwaukee Classic is in its 14 year and in the Past four years it has become Milwaukee Classic “Salute to the Troops Wounded Warriors Project.” Two champions of each divisions were given trophies, t-shirts, MVP medals and a $100.00 donation given to the Wounded Warriors in their teams’ name. In all, the teams felt the certificate was more rewarding then all the other stuff they received for themselves.

There were 35 teams from five different states that attended the May 2014 Tournament. With eight teams in the 50 division and seven in the 55, the tournament just keeps growing.

This year, $2,500 was donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, which totals $5,500 to date.

WWII planes flew over the field on Sunday while we sang the national anthem with the Honor Guard Troop 112.

Please check out the Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.

The greatest casualty is being forgotten. Senior Softball will not forget.
