Participating Teams List Rocky Mountain Championships 2015

The 3rd annual Rocky Mountain Championships will be held once again in Aurora, Colo. Last year’s tournament attracted 51 teams. Here is what players had to say:

“It’s a great complex, one of the best fields that we play at. Great scenery, too. We like that you can go up into the mountains and visit Idaho Springs. It’s a great destination for Senior Softball.”
– Mitch Saunders, MWC Men’s 55 (KS), Men’s 55 Major

“Our weather will be fantastic, upper 80s, low 90s with no humidity and little chance of rain. Denver International Airport is a major hub with destinations to and from every part of the country. The airport and the Aurora softball complex are easily accessible with lots of hotels and east of the metro area where you can completely ignore the city if that’s what you choose to do.”
– Kerry Byers, Scrap Iron Coyotes (CO), Men’s 55 AA

“We love playing in the Rocky Mountain Championships. In addition to the great fields, the complex has enormous space for cookouts and pregame batting practice. The attitude of the staff and umpires has always been positive.”
– Bob Daniel, Universal Lending Lasers (NM), Men’s 50 AAA

“From the terrific softball fields provided by the City of Aurora to the myriad of nearby quality establishments for lodging and dining; the trip north is well worth our time and effort. To also have this event be one of the best-run and best-officiated events of the year is a testament to the SSUSA and Denver-area leadership which conducts the championship. Now if we can just figure out how to beat those formidable Scrap Iron teams, it will truly be a successful trip.”
– Ronne Mercer, High Desert Roadrunners (NM), Men’s 65 Major
