| July 15, 2012 CurtfromKY | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Did they win or did we lose? I tend not to respond to most posts but I think this is a very good topic. Having played with many young players and watching their attitudes and hearing the excuses, I try to encourage them as well as bring out the strong points. Very seldom in any game does a team play flawless ball on either side(offense or defense). But I feel that defense is probably more important than offense but that only applies if the arrogance is in check. Most young players think that is what they are needed for--their bats. If a team makes all the plays though, knows when to hit the cut-off, allows no ex bases then the only way to be beat is perfect hitting--and we NEVER bat 1000!!! Excuses?? LOL not that game....But we don't live in that fairyland now do we?? Might be something to strive for. |

I live in western KY and now play competitive mens tournies in TN, KY, IL, and MO. Any help would be appreciated. I am 51 and still play weekly as well as wkds.
