Jackrabbit, just to clarify, even though I would like to travel to the top senior tournaments, I also would travel to Washington or or other Northwest tournaments. I want to play some senior ball. There isn;t any in my area. And coming to your area to play gives you some confidence in my playing ability. Give me a call or an email if any od this is possible. Thanks

Discussion: Looking for a 50 or 55 AA or AAA Team

Looking join a 50 or 55 team (AA or AAA). I live in Idaho so a team either in Idaho or surrounding states is what I qualify to join. I've played competitive softball since I was 16 (I'm 58). We have no senior softball on my side of the state, so all my experience (with the exception of the last two years) is playing with the younger generation. I have played with a traveling team from Boise (Boise Lightning and Lumber) the last two years. I have experience at both outfield (LC, RC, RF) and inflield (y 3rd, 1st, with some 2nd and Pitcher). I have some power mostly gap hitter, still have speed on the bases. Able to travel upon request. Email address is dharvey1122@cableone.net

I finally recevied my fate from my former team. I would like to play tournaments with a team I can play any position, but be aware some positions I haven't played as mush as others (mostly infield inexperence). I do have some power mostly gap hitter, still have reasonable speed. I'm a team player will help a team in any I can either offensive or defensive. My phone number is 208-529-1933 (home) or work 208-526-6544. My email is dharvey1122@cableone.net. I'm availablbe for anything at anytime.

Will the team you are forming have a traveling squad. I 58 and have played Senior AA for the 2005 World Champs (Boise Lightning and Lumber). The teais moving up in class and is changing roster players for AAA type players. I'm willing to travel to play in tournaments. I live in Idaho which meets most of the associations requirements for this team. Can play either infield or outfield on both 50-55 team or on one of the age teams. I will play either AA or AAA.

Discussion: Recreational Softball Leagues...What's Wrong?

Our City rec leagues have declined not because of equipment but with the three bullets you have mentioned. The lack of the City Rec departments in ensuring leagues offer more than fields to play on,keeping costs in check, and being active in ensuring the leagues are operating with some type of a goal. Whether the goal is te ensure everyone has fun, or development of competative leagues and rec leagues. A prime example is in order to provide the older softball player an oppurtunity to play it is necessary to start my own senior league with no participatation by the city becasue they are not interested. No equipment is not the main issue.
