Topic: General and miscellaneous
Discussion: Managers/Players around the Texas Region, what do you think about the Sportsplex in Houston?

We played there last year in state and decided we would never go back... very cramped when you have a high number of teams there... what was posted about the conditions was spot on.. thought it was foolish you could not bring in a bottle of water at the checkpoint.. as a Texas team we try and play at all the Texas tourneys but this is one we will skip for both associations.. there are a lot better facilities in the state than this one.

I think the reason they play there is cost and what facility will bring the most profit for them. Another huge factor is insurance.. many facilities do have an issue with the hotter senior bats or at least this is what I was told a few years back by a park director.

In any case if the venue is changed to a better park whether that be in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Austin or wherever then we will be back.
