| July 31, 2024 JayPar | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Westerns National Championship easy fix, Do what ISSA does. no more fully sponsered major + teams or sandbaggers playing against teams that pay their own way. For example: my team plays 55 major. we won the Smokeys in the major gold division the last 2 yrs and just won the Eastern Nationals in Virginia (55 majors) in ISSA you can only have a roster filled with guys/gals from your own state or touching. That limits these big Major + teams from dominating because they get the best players from any state they want and can afford to fly them in. We had to play BPA which is a powerhouse major+ team out of PA. but being they couldnt use some of their players because they are spread threw out the country, we the Major team and other non major+ teams were able to compete and win 2 yrs running now. It makes a huge difference when your competing against a team that has no budget limits. We are living proof of it. |

Doesnt have to be a SSUSA,ISSA or SPA . of course i cant play league out there. But maybe a NON SANCTIONED tourny. (I have a bucket list of trying to play in every State) meeting new friends. |

Looking to play in Tournaments in California. I play with some of the best and againts some of the best 50+ seniors in the game. (Johnny baily, Mario Foster, Johnny Dikes, Daryll Waddy, Allen Tanner, Jason Kendrick to name a few.) I play outfield anywhere. (usually 3 man outfield) i can hit for power or for basehits.700+ avg. | Sept. 20, 2023 JayPar | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Batter out of the box The picture that Dave added isn't even at the correct fields, I personally played at everyone of these crap ass BLD fields and the batters boxes were NOT all the same. Some where smaller than the regulation size. I seen 1 team get called out 5 times in the same game. Front foot coming out of the box was called out. not all umpires agreed on this. We even asked the umpire to get the director and was told "you're not going to tell me what to do". We had to play 4 days here and had to pay entree fee of $8 everytime..bullcrap! These sorry ass fields shouldn't even have a tourny played on them..they removed all the turf in the outfield and replaced with grass which had huge bare spots all over..birds everywhere eating grass seeds..I actually killed 2 birds with a line drive!!! This was a circus show. |
| Aug. 23, 2023 JayPar | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Rules for forfeiting seeding games Last year we had a Hurricane Gere in Florida that shut everything down on the day the Vegas world's began. We were all payed up. Qualified and just figured oh well looks like we won't be going this year. But enough guys wanted to try and go any means possible so we decided to drive 5 hrs to an open airport just to get to Vegas by Friday at 2am only to be met with being bumped into the loosers bracket and start at 8am the same day. There was no sympathy given for a team that had just gone through a devastating hurricane. What you did was let us pick up some guys from other Florida teams that weren't able to make it either. So that we had 10 to make a team..we didn't play well on Friday getting no sleep and by Saturday we were done..why weren't we given a pass or something after the hell we went through just to get there and compete..wasnt like we were saving our players and energy for the games that mattered.. |
