| Aug. 26, 2019 Meltrain | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Double Base at 1st base In SPA rules: If a throw to first base goes pass the defensive player into foul territory the defensive player after retrieving the ball, they can touch the orange base to avoid a conclusion with the base runner to make an out. I can't find the this rule in SSUSA. I was told that the rule was in SSUSA. The rule in SSUSA 8.4(1)states the defensive player has to touch the white bag only. Is there another rule that covers this? This has been a rule of discussion among the seniors here in Hawaii. |
