| June 8, 2022 Big Papi 39 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Is the middle open rule 6.18? Hi y’all just trying to figure out how rule 6.18 application works. I’ve been playing 40+ Major for a minute. This past weekend we faced a team that hit at least 8 balls back up the middle, 1 was a direct shot to my pitchers shin. The umpires never said a word. I asked one of the players on the opposing team why they were smoking the box and his response was we don’t want to waste our home runs. So if no words of malice are exchanged aloud so the umpire can hear it, it’s ok? |
