Hi, I'm new to the 50+, just got my card and ready to play some ball near Reno. I've had a couple teams reach out to me from AZ & TX but I'd rather not fly every weekend. I've been playing with the kids around Reno but my buddies back home (Illinois) are telling me to give this a shot. I don't have a tag, label, classification (or whatever the term is now) so I can play any level. They play AAA/Major but they also like to hit/sit. I'm still fast and don't hit a lot of HRs.
I play OF, pitch, IF. Can play anywhere with the kids excepts SS (a step slower than the good ol' days).

Thanks mck71, that's another thing I don't understand. What's with the "card" thing? Why do you have to pay to get a card that says you can play? At 50, if I still have the ability to still play, shouldn't it be revered, not charged? What do I know? Contact info 775.291.0340 (text is best) or mjtodd71@yahoo.com. Mike Todd is my actual name but unless we're friends on FB, not many people know that in the softball world.

Discussion: New to Senior ball

Hi, I've never played Senior ball so this is all new to me. I've been playing tournament ball for 30 years and just turned 50 in 2021 so I thought I would look into Senior ball. How do I know what my rating is and what other info do I need to jump in? I have played as high as ASA B/USSSA C but have recently been playing E with the youngsters. I normally play outfield and pitch, but am comfortable anywhere (too slow for SS with the kids). Originally from the Midwest (if the name looks familiar, yes, it's me). Now I live in Reno, NV and we have an airport so I can go anywhere. Any help would be appreciated!
