I am Roger Smith, Manager of the Oregon Sleeperzzz 60s ladies softball team.
We are in need of an infielder for the Rock-N-Reno tournament later this month.
I feel we are one player short of making us a contender in most any tournament we enter.
Also, if a available, we are playing in Salt Lake City in August, Medford, Oregon in September and St. George in October.
If you are interested, please contact me at RogerSmith97526@aol.com.
Thank you.

Discussion: Women's teams playing in Salt Lake City, July 18-20th

I'm wondering how many teams are planning on playing in Salt Lake City, July 18-20th. We (Oregon Sleeperzzz, 55's) plan on going but we are hoping there are several teams there also.

Hope to hear from you,
Roger Smith, Manager, Oregon Sleeperzzz 55's

Discussion: In memory of Karen "Sparky" Sparks

Karen Sue “Sparky” Sparks 58, passed peacefully Christmas morning in her home in Grants Pass, Oregon. A celebration of her life will be held in October during the Huntsman World Senior Games in St. George, Utah.

Sparky was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, lived in California and then moved to Southern Oregon in 2001.
Her passion throughout life was playing softball. She had an arm that could throw a ball with such precision and speed, few could match.

In 2002 she joined the Grants Pass women’s senior softball team, the “Oregon Sleeperzzz“, which became a very important part of her life.

She was gifted with “out-of-the-box” creativity and had an artistic talent few knew about. Her off-beat sense of humor kept us all laughing.

She is survived by her partner, “C C” of many years and their four dogs, a son and two sisters in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the “Sleeperzzz” who were her ROCK both on and off the field.

She played hard, ran fast, and slid into home plate “Sparky-style”.
She’s home now. She touched many lives. We greatly miss her.

Discussion: Can-Am Ladies Tournament in Seattle, Sept. 15-16th

I'm wondering if there are any Ladies 50's, 55's or 60's teams planning on playing in the 2007 Can-Am Chanpionships Tournament in Seattle, Sept. 15-16th.
If you are or you aren't, I would appreciate an answer.
We (Oregon Sleeperzzz Ladies 55 team) would like to go but would like some reassurance that other ladies teams are going before committing money and time, etc.

Thank you,
Roger Smith, Manager
